If we could go back in time 10 years, could you imagine a Jackie Chan and Kevin Hart team up? Not saying Tucker and Chan wasn't a great duo but Hart just has that extra something I think could elevate the Chan/Hart banter.

It was done on purpose, as a way to warn him. Later in the movie, it’s shown he was helping John several times throughout, and ultimately he was killed for it himself.
