DIY wheel flowerbed

A flowerbed made from a wheel will decorate your garden with your own hands. This could be an interesting project in terms of recycling and reusing materials.
How to make a flowerpot from a wheel:
- Select a suitable car wheel. It's best to use an old or unwanted wheel that is no longer suitable for road use.
- Mark the cut location on the rubber using chalk or a marker;
- Cut the rubber along the markings with a sharp knife, periodically wetting the knife with soapy water to make cutting easier;
- Turn the cut out part of the tire inside out with your hands, straightening out all the unevenness of the inner surface of the rubber;
- Clean the wheel from dirt, rust and old paint. If necessary, you can also treat it with an anti-corrosion agent and paint it.
- Choose the place where you will install the flower bed. Make sure the ground is prepared: remove weeds, level the surface and possibly add soil or fertilizer.
- Place the wheel in the selected location. Make sure it is secure and stable.
- Cut out the inner insert of the wheel rim from plastic or other moisture-resistant material, make drainage holes in it and install it in its place;
- Fill the inside of the wheel with soil and fertilizer. You can add plants, flowers or even small shrubs, depending on your preferences and climate conditions.
- After installation, regularly water and care for the plants in the flower bed. Trim faded leaves and flowers, remove weeds and feed plants as needed.
Such a flower bed will not only be an attractive element of landscape design, but will also serve as an example of recycling materials and caring for the environment.
