  • I'll show you how to fire a cauldron before using it for the first time. Firing the cauldron (or cauldron) before first use is an important process that helps remove the factory coating and also gives the cauldron its non-stick properties. Here are step-by-step instructions for firing a cauldron:
    Preparation
Cleaning: Rinse the cauldron with hot water and detergent and wipe well with a sponge or brush to remove factory oil and other contaminants. Then rinse and dry the cauldron thoroughly.
    Tools:
    Kazan
    Salt (about 1 kg)
Vegetable oil (sunflower, flaxseed or any other)
    Tongs or kitchen gloves
    Stove or open fire
    Firing process
    Start of firing:
Place the cauldron on the stove or over an open fire. If using a stovetop, set the heat to medium to high.
Gradually heat the cauldron so that it warms up evenly.
    Salt:
Pour about 1-2 cm of salt into the cauldron. Salt helps draw out the remaining factory oil and other impurities.
Stir the salt with a wooden spoon or spatula for 20-30 minutes. The salt should change color to brownish or grayish, indicating that it has absorbed impurities.
Pour the salt from the cauldron and let it cool.
    Oil treatment:
After the cauldron has cooled, wipe it with a dry cloth or paper towel.
Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to the inside of the cauldron. You can use a brush or paper towel to distribute the oil evenly.
Reheat the cauldron over medium heat. The oil will begin to soak into the surface of the metal. Leave the cauldron on the fire for 20-30 minutes until the oil stops smoking and the cauldron acquires a dark color.
    Reprocessing (optional):
To achieve better non-stick properties, you can repeat the process of applying oil and heating 1-2 more times.
    Completion
    Cooling and storage:
Cool the cauldron at room temperature.
Before first use, rinse the cauldron with warm water without detergent and wipe dry thoroughly.
Now your cauldron is ready to use. After each use, it is recommended to rinse it thoroughly, wipe it dry and lubricate it with a thin layer of oil to maintain non-stick properties and prevent rust.

Лучше использовать соль без йода и минеральных примесей.
