I recently went through an identity crisis where I no longer knew what to look like, what to try, what more to create. So in clear Stella Fashion - I dyed my hair black.
This video, I show you how I dye my hair permanent black, with Schwarkopf Igora 1.0 and 20 volume developper, to create a look I can only call: Bomb 🖤
I love black. Black is such a comfort colour, yet it also feels so dominating and confident.
There are few negative things I can say about black hair other than its a b*tch to remove.

The way you feel about hair dyeing is exactly the way I feel. It’s one of the only things fully in my control, it lets me reinvent myself no matter my mood, it lets me express my mind outwardly. I love it. But these last few months I haven’t had the means to maintain my hair or do anything with it really and I’ve been struggling with that so much, feeling helpless and kind of adrift and honestly a little pathetic that my hair could have such an effect on me. But it’s good to know that someone else feels the same way too.

Omg I feel the SAME way!!! For years, I was known as the friend who had pink, purple, blue, silver hair. But this year, I grew out my natural brown hair for the first time in forever and I haven’t been motivated to start dying and bleaching again.
Last Saturday on the 11th I lost a close member of my immediate family, since then I’ve dyed my hair twice… hair dyeing is relaxing, something we’re in control of and for me it’s a distraction and it completely affects my mood it’s completely normal to feel this way about dye. I hope you’re feeling better now x
Do you have any advice for people with scalp conditions? I love dyeing my hair but am restricted to only doing the ends and not the roots in fear of hurting my extremely sensitive scalp.
@@icy6164 my boyfriend has a super sensitive scalp and we bleach his hair every couple months (I have videos of what we do to avoid his scalp getting irritated and sore if you’re curious) but I don’t ever use above a 20 volume, I wash it off really quickly (when it’s still bright yellow) so it isn’t on for ages, I use a non damage no peroxide no ammonia toner (I say which in my videos but I love shrine) and I use a deep conditioning hair mask right after he’s toned and leave that on for about half an hour. It worked really well, every time I’ve done his hair it’s got better and better. Hope this helps. If you want more precise details I do give them in my video, I just can’t remember like specific toners right now x

I think it’s fitting that she dyed her hair black at the beginning of the year and she’s dying her hair black again at the end of the year. We’ve come full circle.
I literally did the same thing! I started the year wanting to try something different cut my long hair short and bleached the hell out of it and experimented with different colors until and then got back to black recently and i feel like my old self but with a lot more experience and comfortable in my own self

The way you describe your relationship with hair dye is exactly why I dye mine. I’ve been controlled on every aspect of my life, of my art, of my relationships (with others and with myself) - dyeing my hair has been my rebellion and my way to put my middle finger up, to declare who I am and who I want to be and that no matter what

Black hair has been my obsession for the last three months. I’ve done pretty much every other color and finally two months ago I took the plunge and went permanent black. I LOVE IT!!
I've had black hair since 2015 and I'll never have any other color. If I want any other color, that's what hair extensions and wigs are for. Black will always be my happy color. ❤️

8 days ago I lost a close family member and I’ve dyed my hair twice since then to try to get back some control, I love the distraction of hair dye and how it can completely change my mood so I completely get what you mean x

This year has been a pretty shit one for me, turning 30 was meant to be fun. So I took a risk and decided to change from bright fuschia pink to soft blush pink. It took a whole weekend, a couple meltdowns and me feeling like it was an absolute failure..... but for my Mum and my Husband to both say that it really is nice made me feel better. Hopefully 2022 is a better year and I embrace this new pink.

Hi Stella, you probably not going to read this but In case you do… i just want to give you a little spark of motivation. I have been following your journey for few years ☺️ and when you were telling about your ‘crisis’ I absolutely knew what you were talking about and I teared up a bit. We have those moments in life when we don’t exactly know who we are anymore or why we keep doing certain things. But the good side of being a human is that we will never stay the same! We always change…some in 1 week, some take months or even years… so all will be ok 👍🏻

came here because i was thinking about dyeing my hair black and felt everything you said in this video. been feeling lost, unsure of myself and my future and need some kind of change in my life to snap out of it. ive only recently started building my self confidence by playing with my hair and getting a bit into makeup and i want to do something different and experiment with my sense of identity and branch out of my comfort zone. i think ill go for black for sure now :D

I’ve tried Schwarzkopf out a few times on my channel and I love them! Gorgeous, professional colours so there’s nothing to fault really. In October I dyed my hair black for Halloween and I absolutely loved it like black is just a whole ass vibe 🖤🖤 you look gorgeous with it x

I just bleach my dyed black hair and did a purple shadow root with blue ends about 2 weeks ago. Kind of got an indigo color in the middle and I feel like a galaxy. I just found out I cant get pregnant and I cant even cry yet. The breakdown is coming. The depression consuming. The black will be back if I last that long.

I like how much of a reflection this became. Made me think of how for a mirror to be a mirror it needs a solid colored backing, so black is reflective in many ways

I love the way the black hair brings out your eye color.I'm dyeing my hair back to black this week- right now it's red with my dark roots and grays coming in,though.I'm looking more like a calico cat!I'm naturally a dark brunette,so my grays really show through-my hair was looking pretty stripey for a while before I dyed it red.
