I live in Milwaukee and think we have a lot of great things here for sure. In the last 4 years I have been going up north for a vacation to enjoy the biking trails up there. Going through the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest on the Heart of Vilas County bike trails is amazing. The woods, the lakes, rivers, bridges, and the wildlife are stunning. What a great place to enjoy outdoor activities. I love it up there in the Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters, Minocqua area.
Taurus season here is a nightmare. Can't get into the stores, can't park anywhere, can't even get gas. The restaurants are full of loud and rude people. It's not what they make it out to be.
Devil's Lake state park wasn't mentioned. It's in the Baraboo-Dells area. Should have also mentioned the Dells boat trips and Circus World Museum in Baraboo. And sadly, the Tommy Bartlett water ski show in the Dells didn't survive covid, went bankrupt 😢
