Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

One team starts at a checkpoint to haul barrels or crates all the way to the helipad, while the other team spawns from the aircraft-carrier and uses dynamite-tipped missiles to stop the other team. The teams can keep respawning until a certain time limit finishes. The team with most barrels/crates win.

@MrRedstone___ right but what if someone knows an op glitch and someone else does not...plus glitches can be hard to manage, they can crash the game and make recording harder...not to mention it might be hard to watch.
On the topic of jetski vs snowmobile vs sandmobile, in Czech those are "vodní skútr" (in word-by-word translation "water scooter") and "sněžný skútr" (in word-by-word translation "snow scooter"), so you got it quite right actually. :) It's cool how the languages are very similar even if their speakers are on the opposite side of the globe.

MM idea for Trailmakers: two people build cars and two people build bombers.Both the cars try to make it to a certain area while the bombers drop bombs the cars can also have guns on them to defend.They can switch vehicles for each round.
*****MPM SUGGESTION***** once again. Yep here I am going to leave my Rock'em sock'em robots idea for multi-player Monday either in trailmakers or scrap mechanic. And to expand on my idea used cons ejection seat idea steal ideas from Pacific Rim and put thrusters on the elbows. You guys got good imaginations you can make static robots to have all kinds of punching and missile type action

I think the steering hinge in the middle of your vehicle might have been the weak point. If you hit something hard enough the back end has enough mass to crush it and hurl a brick at your seat

Scrapman, you should try Ark Survival Evolved with kan, squid, and others you would invite. It would be awesome, it’s a great game and I think you would have fun! I love the vids
It's a great game and I also agree he would probably love playing it! Its not as technical as these games but it's a lot of fun and based off of how he is in his videos he'd probably really enjoy it!
He focuses more on sandbox/building games. Ark is heavily survival based and also somewhat competitive you join wide servers. Also I think he likes to stick with low graphical games unlike ark which is somewhat realistic

It self destructed because of the shields on the front. The shields held all the front pieces together, so when the shields broke, they tore the blocks off with them.

For MM, you guys should do a survival warehouse type challenge. Where you have a to build a small warehouse or use the ingame warehouses, and you have to search for vehicle parts and will have to build a car, so it's like a race type thing. Then race each other to a destination.

Back in the day, they had what was called a Wetbike which actually looked more like a snowmobile than a jetski!

The thing with me and trailmakers is that its a really good game, but im awful at building stuff in it. I tried to build a pickup truck and it came out as a roofless car with a top speed of 70mph...

Just Me i do the basis first, i create the steering axle, then i do the floor to connect the front to the back, then i add the engines, and the seat. Then i test it and once tested i build the mainframe and add more engines. For planes i do it all at once and finetune as i test
Who else liked the respawn transition into building the vehicle?
Just so everyone knows, in New Hampshire most people call them ski mobiles. Which would be less confusing than snow or sand-mobiles.

your fragileness is probably because your seat is in a very vulnerable spot. that's why you don't really get too much damage when hit from behind or the side, but from the front your seat explodes and you die. (that's my theory. not really sure)

Next chalange : King of the Hill jumping dirt bike. U can use the cart cabin if simetry is a problem but, 2 wheels and pistons so u can jump over other players. This jumping mecanic should make things interesting.
