How to Shave Your Head with Scalp Micropigmentation

  • In this video, you'll see scalp micropigmentation experts show you how to shave your head with the SMP treatment.
    Step 1: Grab Yourself a Trimmer 0:35
    We recommend the Andi’s T-Outliner as our go-to buzzer/trimmer for your SMP treatment. However, there are other brands and products that get the job done like the Wahl foil shaver or SkullShaver.
    Step 2: Dust and Clean your Trimmer 0:40
    As you will be using your trimmer a few times a week, you’ll want to make sure it is clean before each use. We recommend dusting off any excess hair and spraying it down with a cool spray.
    Step 3: Angle the Trimmer 1:03
    You’ll want to angle the trimmer so it is flush on your skin. This will help the clipper simply glide against your hair, with your hand motion acting as a guide.
    Step 4: Stretch Skin & Glide
    You don’t want to apply too much pressure, you just want the clipper to do it’s job. Stretching the skin allows you to get a nice clean area to work with.
    Step 5: Go Against Grain 1:14
    Get a flush clean look by going against the grain of your hair. This helps to remove any excess hair and make sure you have a symmetrical buzz.
    Step 6: Make Sure You Go Over the Scalp Micropigmentation 2:21
    Even though you may not have a lot of hair where the scalp micropigmentation treatment was placed, there still may be some peach fuzz. For your treatment to look it’s best, you’ll want to make sure you go over that area as well.
    Bonus Tip: Listen to the Sound of the Buzzer
    The buzzer will make a louder noise as you go over any un-clipped hair. You’ll notice when you hit the areas that have already been trimmed the buzzer makes less noise. And when you hit hair that has not been shaved, you’ll hear it more prevalently.

    The hair line is to defined that’s what makes it look very noticeable. I know the sharp barber edge is best with real hair but somehow smp looks better when a bit more diffused at hairline. Still looks excellent

      @@riadrasimi9958I can tell you it looks absolutely naturally. There is one small spot that at the left receeding corner that needs more density in the second session but I can tell you that I am so surprised how natural it looks and I could already live with the results after the first session. Besides the person who did the pigmentation nobody knows and nobody noticed it which is so weird because I can see the difference 100% and it makes me feel very grateful towards my past self for being brave enough to finally do it.

    I have an Andis, but I prefer the smooth shave and and electric foil shaver from Braun, I use Model 760cc Man that electric shaver give me a smooth not irritating Shave in about 5-8 minutes. Also the Electric foil shaver doesn't make a big mess like the Andis T Outliner.
    If your tired if having to hear up, clean and sweet after your SMP shave, go with a foil shaver like the Braun 760cc and you won't regret it.
    Blades are like 35 bucks, they are suppose to last 18 months for facial shave, but of course you have way more hair on your head then you have on your face and you will be shaving more often, so expect to get 6-10 months with the Foil blade not 18. Also as soon as the foil splits or has an opening in it.m get rid of it, it will cut you and irritate you, don't be cheap, just toss it and replace it, your irritation free head will love you for it.

      The best way to see for yourself is to use clippers to buzz and area of hair or all of it as short as you can get it. That's how it looks naturally and that's how they'll match it unless you want it darker. They do treat with blonde, grey, red, etc. Plenty of them are shown online if you have the time to look. Also, I think there's an app that'll let up upload a pic of yourself to get an idea.

    Can the SMP be destroyed if you accidentally cut yourself with the trimmer or if you get spots on it

      No any superficial cuts or scratches wont erase the pigment...the pigment sits deeper than the epidermis. But if you create a major gash or cut (something needing stitches) then yes some pigment could be removed

    What happens 20 years from now when you have a grey patches hair growing out. And when your 70 and have dark hairline of a 20 yr old marine?

    • @greyman8335
      @greyman8335 Před 4 lety

      Smp fades over time, if u do nothing about it (fill it) it should fade away after a couple of years. And btw you dont really notice gray hairs when you have the hair trimmed so short. But if u do notice it, i guess they can just smp you with gray dots.

    Does anyone with SMP shave with a razor?

    • @CelestialWoodway
      @CelestialWoodway Před 3 lety

      Some people do. But if you do it to cover up hair transplant scars shaving with a razor would be too short from what I understand. If just geting the top done razor is okay. They have another video showing this.

      I don't have SMP yet, but I keep my hair close... it's easy. I hold a mirror also with one hand and using the bathroom mirror together.
