My granddaughter watched the video with me and she was amazed how you put the scrap thread together to make the tree, just as I was. I have started a scrap thread jar and it will be fun to watch it grow and find ways to use it. Thank you Marion for sharing your talent with us, again. ☺️🧵🪡
@@marionsworld24 It's a real compliment - he was a beautiful soul, with a relaxing, appealing teaching style who made people feel they had an artist inside them, and that anything was possible if they just tried. You do all of this, but with embroidery! And just to add, I love your thread scrap tree trunk! I can't wait to have a go at that! I'm currently practicing fly stitch leaves on my meditation scroll 🙂
Literally, I was thinking the same!! I pause his videos, and try to replicate what he has done, and I basically do the same with Marion! She is Genius!!! And So Fun, and So Likeable!!!
Yet more creative thinking with the tree and watching you stitch the leaves is so calming. So very happy I found your channel you have no idea how much joy you’ve given me ❤
Your tree is brilliant! Thank you for sharing such an inventive way of working a tree. I am familiar with most of the embroidery stitches you are using, but your creative use of them is inspiring.
Dearest Marion, such a beautiful tree! The gorgeous texture and colors of the couched thread ends so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and creativity. xo
What a fun and lovely project🤗💗. Now I am sorry I didn’t save all my little end pieces of thread, but will start at once, and have my 3 daughters save theirs for me too. I have to try this, and will write it on my growing “Marion” list😅🌺🌻🌷💗🥰
Oh Marion Thankyou for the sketch on paper. It’s not as difficult as I thought. So look forward to these weeks. I’m 75 and have done quilting over last years but this is first time hand sewing.
Wow Marion I just love it, I’m gonna start on sunday with my tree and leaves. You are explaining it so calm and easy, thank you. Hope you have a nice day.
Your tangle thread tree (as I call it) is going to look gorgeous, I’m really going to enjoy I watching it emerge. I never realised how easy (when you’re shown) it is to embroider leaves. Thank you so much for sharing, I am learning so much
Oh my! I’m really liking this. It’s interesting to see what you can do with all the little bits and pieces that otherwise would be discarded. This is going to be a beautiful tree.
Good morning Marion, you blew my mine it is so wonderful 🎉, like magic. Thank you as always for sharing, and encouraging us to save our threads ❤. Hugs Teresa xx

Oh Marion! Thank you!!! I am NO Artist, Lord knows, but if I follow what you do, very closely, I surely look like an artist!!!😃 I've already made a Beautiful bird out of fabric and embroidery! 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Hi Marion, your little tree is gorgeous and your threads beautiful! Those leaves! Looking forward to seeing the little tree when it is finished and looking forward to seeing your knitting too. Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Was such a busy week! I finally was able to get to my first leaf today ❤. My tree is so bright and beautiful! Thank you Marion for your inspiration and generosity!
I knew as soon as you said you would have to see if you were going to add roots that you indeed would add a few. 🙂 I was using 1” square of fabric this week and my husband commented that pretty soon I’d be saving leftover thread…and there you go, a good reason to start 😂
Thank you Marion for your video and company as always. Well what an amazing use of an ORT jar, I need to start one, so thank you for giving us an alternative,I have loads of odd bits of wool left from projects. The tree looks so real and organic. Lovely to hear and see Boo,typical cat 🐱,attention now please, thank you!- - that's enough, made you stop ,I'm off.😂 don't you just love them. See you Sunday.
The tree trunk method is amazing - what a great way to use up scrappy yarns and threads. I love fly stitch, but the leaf stitch is a new one for me. I’ll have to try it!
I don`t do stitching ,but the way you`re explaining it and to watch your creative process is so interesting. The results are mind blowing to me. Thank you so much for sharing !

That's wonderful to hear Gillian. I was hoping I'd be able to show how you can build up your skills beyond just doing the stitches. Thanks for the positive feedback 😊
I didn't have a thread tangle, so I made one with some older thread and strips of fabric. You are really stretching my creative abilities. Thank you so much. You are a joy to watch❤
Hi Marion fantastic idea for the tree trunk, i've just put a load of brown toned threads in my ORT jar from the brackett fungus page so great timing. Carry on being you with your projects. You've not come up with a dud idea yet and I doubt you will. Happy stitching H
Oh Marion -- you've done it again - you just amaze me!! I have been keeping my ORT threads for awhile and even had lots of lovely weaving waste yarn in a bowl -- and it was such a joy to use those bits and threads in a project -- I did my tree and three leaves today and it was so relaxing and I am thrilled to bits with how beautiful it has turned out -- cannot wait for the next set of leaves to add!
I just love the thread tree design. It will looks amazing when all the leaves are on it. You do not see all the colors when put together. It blends in nicely. I like the roots you added too. Thanks for the demonstration. Love how it comes together.

Thank you SO much for sharing your art! You give the rest of us courage to jump in. ❤❤❤
I watched this and am inspired to ‘paint’ with embroidery. The only embroidery that I have ever done was in school over 60 years ago, making cross stitch samplers in school. I love that variegated thread!
