Ah Larry, We went to school together. You went to Penn State and I went to State Penn. No but really, You were one of my favorite wrestlers back in the day.Mainly AWA , but also WCW. I agree with you on Sam Houston and Greg Gagne not having the right body type to get over. Gagne was a good wrestler, but not convincing. Good to see you still looking good and sounding cocky.....Living Legend.
One of the saddest facts and among the worst offences of wrestling and wrestling fans is the utter lack of reverence, tribute and memory given to the two men who inspired Bruno to give Larry the working surname he used. Wladek and Stanislaus Zbszko are miles above the men often called legends nowadays
I really miss the smokey arena era of wrestling . These guys were all portraying themselves either as elite athletes or big nasty brawlers . And the elite athlete was always more than a match for the monster brawler .
@@Liryc83 Yikes, where did you learn to write like that? It's ''should have'' not ''should of''...the contraction of the two becomes ''should've.'' That might be what the mix up is, ''should've'' not ''should of.''
Larry is a beautiful story teller.
I beg you, highspots!
Please no more terry funk intros!!

LOL...state pen
Amazing, thank you so
Much
@Hightspots can you put the years these were recorded on these classic shoots? These are brilliant. Thank you for opening up the vault.
I challenge anyone here to take a shot every time Larry says "Bruno"...🥃
RIP to whomever attempts this.

Zybysko is correct about Backlund not drawing well. I think Larry would have made a better champion.
They should of stuck with Billy because he had the full package then imo.
Thats why the Garden cards were so stacked . Backlund was not a strong enough draw on his own .

I first got to see Larry when he worked Georgia Championship Wrestling . He waa a great lying cheating heel . Been a fan ever since
I wonder why he did not keep up the heavy work outs ? The muscle era started when he was dropping weight .
You spelled his name wrong.
Looked like Bill Murray on steroids .
What year was this interview?
2001
I believe Verne tried to set Cathy Gagne with Hulk Hogan in 1983 so I doubt his mindset was not that his daughter couldn't being with wrestlers .
Flair made a play for her after Superclash 1 in Chicago. Her upper body was on steroids.
