I have a question, why do you use your ultimate so sparingly? Particularly on the bosses, the bounty hunter's ult can do quite some damage, and you'll be able to use it just in a minute or two
Partially it was inexperience with the captain I probably could been more generous, but I was saving it for a panic button against multiple grabbers. Usually verm is a game of not losing vs winning more.

What is it with those weapon sounds? The VT 1 rapier swinging sounded like sharp metal viciously cutting through rat flesh. In VT 2 it sounds like swinging a stick at a sandbag. Is that a youtube thing, a VT2 beta thing or are those the actual finished game sounds? If so, why didn't they just keep VT 1's sounds? They were perfect.
I so miss the sound of Viktor's Brace of Pistols from VT1... Loud, booming and letting the ratmen know that a massacre of their ilk is inbound. But I only play Bardin either way. I admit, weapon sounds are... A bit reduced IMO compared to VT1. I miss it...
j_sat I wish I could get my friend up for it. The both of us had 100+ hours in v1 but he never really picked up composition or strats. Mains witch hunter and believes his duel pistols solve absolutely everything, always try's soloing bosses when his team isn't near him, runs of everyone else so he can pop clan rats with his pistols so he gets most kills at the end of the round, and by no means will ever believe that I (and others from our group) are actually doing better because of skill or teamwork; we're simply just using an OP weapon/skill and that's why we're able to pull off "bullshit" It's frustrating as hell and I've sent him your videos as a "hey look at how cool this guy is!" Hoping he'll kind of picks up on what works really well. I was able to do CATA in V1 most of the time with randoms but never with him. I'm not the type of person who's just going to label him as an ass and play without him I want him to be a part of our team but it's just really frustrating. Any ideas?
Well obviously that's been tried. He's just not the sort to listen to something like that. Like I said he refuses to acknowledge in anyway that he's bad.
If he was truly your friend (and by extension your group's friend), he would actually listen to what you have to say and try to improve. A person you described is selfish by nature. I hate to say it, but ditch him for a while and see if some time by himself makes him listen better. If it doesn't, he isn't worth having as friend I guess (at least for gaming).
They overnerfed the Pistol in the Rapier+Pistol main weapon, sad about this, it indeed did too much damage in the closed beta but I expected at most a 40% damage nerf but it seems they nerfed 90%+ of the damage, not sure ifyou tested it as I didnt see you fire the pistol with the alternate special attack in this run. I would prefer for them to give it limited ammunition like in game 1 and good damage over infinite ammo and irrelevant damage.
it was an overnerf, I tested it a lot today and yesterday a lot will continue to test it as I like using Rapier a lot, It would make sense that it worked like in game 1 limited ammo but similar or same damage as the Brace of Pistols I would prefer that over push damage at medium range excluding a clutch headshot at very short range/melee range. (also considering Saltz moves and aims a little above when firing the Pistol on the rapier making you to aim at the neck or below the neck depending on the enemy the get a headshot). Also Headshot damage fell off way too much, if you test it vs regular Marauders on their helmet, I tested both in Veteran and Champion difficulty with over 300+ power. They nerfed both range fall off damage and general damage over the top. Saltzpire is the only one between Gruber and Kerilian that doesnt have "No range fall of damage" on their best range variation would trade Reloading speed for that anytime.
At close range, just out of melee, it does very good damage. Its good for finishing off larger enemies. It can't be used like a true ranged weapon anymore. Also, what do you mean "test on Mauraders"? Test it on the dummies. You cant tell exact dmg in-mission.
There is no point if the pistol is a melee pistol you have the rapier to do a better job on that, it will surely be changed again perhaps giving it penetration to hit more enemies or removing some of the insane range fall off damage ners.
i love this game but it's honestly difficult to find a group which isn't full of newbies, im onto veteran and even now theres still players who are making awful mistakes like displaying in the video. it's good not to get angry but a lot in quick play it seems all you can do is ask on push to talk and try communicate but 90% of the time no one talks or just ignores you and is still just retarded. IF anyon could post a decent group of players on a discord or something id love to join up and play with you guys
I do have friends that own the game but unfortunately his PC seems to run it pretty poorly. He seemed to lose interest for that reason and he plays league of legends so you can imagine what kind of gamer he is lol he spends most his time on that pile of wank :P I have another friend but he's borderline alcoholic and has no chance in hell of listening to team mates when he is slow as it is and only makes it worse when he's had some pints down the pub. Verdict is that this game is great for certain types of gamers which my friends are not :P
I feel you... I have a friend that is SUPER into Warhammer, but is really hard to bring along to play the game, as we have another friend that is painfully slow at getting back into games. He can play and enjoy things for a day or two, and after, he wants a "break" and doesn't touch it, ever again. It is a crying shame, because I love my buddies, and have a ton of fun playing with them, but they are hard to get along for things other than D&D stuff (Which I love too, but hey, vidya gaems much funs for me) Another friend of mine plays VT2 a lot as of recently, but is hard to contact at times. I already know he is much more my kind of player, enjoying higher difficulties and good team synergies and such in games. But as mentioned, his work schedule and so on gets in the way, and its hard to find time to play with him. I adore this game so much... I can be the worlds most badass dwarven killing machine, and spout Khazalid as I bring my axe down on those filthy ratmen. I am hardly that good in the game yet, but thanks to j_sat, I learned a ton in VT1 that helped me severely in VT2, and noticed immediately that I had an edge over my fellow newb players (Knowing mechanics like positioning, dodging, letting the horde come to you, spotting specials quickly and listening for them, understanding how to joust with two handed weapons and so on and so forth), but it does get frustrating when they blame me for doing nothing as ironbreaker because "No kills/low damage to boss... Dude we think you should play something else or try another group. We only need good players :)". Thats what a wizard player said as he had been downed and revived 11 times by me through the game, unable to manage his overheat mechanic. I understand its difficult, don't get me wrong, but this is a team game... And I am purposefully arming myself with a shield so I can control hordes and such, all so this guy can dps and kill away to his hearts content. Yes, I won't score the most kills or the highest damage. But I can protect you and ensure you some respite to cast your spells nicely without a horde breathing down your neck constantly. I'll still play though! I try my best to spread the advice j_sat gave me through his videos to people I meet out there! This one group even DRASTICALLY improved just over one game with them after teaching them dodging and such, and went from "only recruit games, because veteran is so hard" to "So when can we try champion? I want to try champion now!"
Kerillian is by far the best anti special, her abilities destroy monsters and specials, her long bow is the best ranged weapon and all her weapons have decent armor piercing
the meme I agree with the first part but the long bow being the best range I can’t agree with just because the crossbow/guns out dmg it and brake shield where as arrows bounce of them unless you hit it about 3 times to brake the guard not the shield then go for a body/head shot.
Where is your Kerillian? :( I got my WS to 30 and she is not as broken as Huntsman and BH but she is great all around and Long Bow + Spear is so beastly! Also Glaive got back it's armor dmg on light attacks and cleaves through hordes as knife vs butter. Volley is still bugged but much better than in close beta. But man...Huntsman.. My friend was running with lvl 8 huntsman + WHITE blunderbuss and he was topping me on champion runs with ez, always more than 1k dmg than me and 50-100 more kills just from this broken Blunderbuss :D. Like I was 7,8k dmg and he was 8,7k with lvl 8. Or BH who can eat 80% of boss dmg in few sec with Ult and Repeater Pistol. Well, at lease WS is greatly balanced right now and joy to play :) I am supprised you are not on her.

He strikes me as someone who enjoys playing the game in a way that it keeps challenging him to become better. Like some people play dark souls fist only and so on... For the Challenge. For that sense of "Wow, I really did this! I never thought I'd pull that off!" for himself and his viewers/subs or with his friends/people he enjoy playing with. I like his style. Sure, I will NEVER be all that in-depth about mechanics of a game, but I thoroughly enjoy watching his content, and learning things that can better me in many ways, yet in no way do I follow his words like a written bible. Nobody should. People play games differently, my good man. Some play it very casually, for instance... Skyrim on novice difficulty, with characters that are just about everything the game can offer ( Thief, Mage, Warrior, Vampire lord yet used to be werewolf or vice-versa AND a dragonborn), and there are those that play it far more extensively and for a challenge, modding the game harder and sticking to legendary difficulty, making builds/character templates they stick to with rules as to what they may use and may not use and of course, those in-between these things. People that kind of play their own ways. TL;DR People enjoy/play things differently, and j_sat seems to enjoy playing for a challenge, much like many of us do.
Xavanux most likely bought the game to play with their friends and got beat pretty bad. I'm so thankful for people like j_sat because he's helping the community grow and creating skilled players through patience and kindness.
Honestly? I don't think it's fun. It's all about exploiting and cheesing the game. There is a sweet spot somewhere in between "Diablo-like" and "Bloodborne-like", and this game is leaning a bit too much towards the un-fun part.

I think stormfiend need an additional move pattern. The flaming, swipe, and charge just makes him a little on the boring side.
He could use a variation of ratling gun weapon to one of his arms.
It just need to be more agresive like the chaos spawn.

@jsat, you can 1 shot kill any warpfire thrower when you hit his battery, just be wary that he will explode, thats why you got downed around 7:45

KillNotes its was a range nerf. The pistol still does good dmg in melee to close range. Headshots does more dmg than hs from The rapier charged

It still melts them because it's a multiplier on critical damage. It now takes 4 or 5 shots instead of just 2.
