best album of 2023. pedro sounds like carioca freitas, arthur verocai, and even alan holdsworth in this track, in ways that would make astrud gilberto smile :)
I LOVE his sound...its like retro vapor wave jazz with a twist of latin. his vocal mixing is really key i think its really creates this airy light calming sound
Can't stop listening to this and "Juvenew", plus the whole concert with Frankfurt Radio Big Band is phenomenal.
Can't wait to get the album,...Pedro channels all these great guitar players (Holdsworth, Beck, Metheny, Horta, Guinga, Castro-Neves, Loureiro) but the ultimate result is so much more!!!
Anyone got a Lyle Mays vibe? Or maybe I'm just hallucinating? ;-) The bass player is just killing, major groove...

Sensacional, já fiz o pre order do novo disco no Itunes. Essa música é demais, já tinha ouvido a versão instrumental naquela gig em Highland Park c/ Chris Fishman, Justin Brown e Daryl Johns.
Sentindo umas influências de Beto Guedes/14 Bis/Flávio Venturini e na parte instrumental e solos Bill Connors, Allan Holdsworth e Mahavishnu Orchestra. Fiquei chapado ao ler que o Daryl toca batera e baixo! Abraço!

I really like this composition, the chord changes and melody. There is a kind of Holdsworth quality in there. But I wish the feel was more solid. It seems very unsettled, like missing a rhythmic center. Is that intentional?

Can anyone suggest anymore music with this sound? Preferably from the 70s-80s. (Metheny comes to mind)
Beto Guedes, Lô Borges, Flavio Venturini. Check them out, they are cooler tones, not as high energy but the harmonic and melodic palette is not dissimilar.
Also suggest Bill Connors records, 'Step It' and 'Assembler'. And of course Allan Holdworth's 'Metal Fatigue' but you prolly already know that one. Again, they are a bit different but there are similarities, check em out if you got the chance..
