They would have both civil and criminal liability for refusing to provide care. They could only refuse while the patient was out of control, but as soon as the scene was clear, no excuse is warranted. The cops could be arrested and charged under 18 USC 242 deprivation of rights under color of law. The civil suit would be under 42 USC 1983.

      EMT's are a real issue that doesn't seem to be addressed. It's really easy to become an EMT and there was that video recently of an EMT acting full on like a sheriff and detaining, punching and arresting a guy.. something he has no authority to do. We need to shine a light on this, the last thing we need in this country is EMT's acting like cops.

      And it’s crazy how the cop says “you can’t tell me what to do.” As he’s telling this free man to go back inside like he has the authority to do so. It’s sick.
      As for the EMTs, they all know the cops. They constantly show up to the same scenes together so they know each other. And they are always going to side with the cops. Remember the Tyre Nichols murder where Tyre is laying on the ground dying and the Cops, EMTs and Firefighters are all standing there chatting it up. They all work together.

      I haven’t watched thousands of these videos yet, but I think you’re absolutely right. Add to all the body cam evidence like this being accrued, that the police are legally allowed to lie and trick citizens in the course of an investigation, one has to conclude law enforcement is not ever to be trusted as you said. It’s sad because body cam videos also shows many, many officers being long suffering good public servants. But the evidence like this of individual corruption is way too common for anyone to drop his or her guard when dealing law enforcement.

      @@ZachCarr1991Absolutely! My thoughts as well. Isn't it ironic, (and extremely hypocritical,) seeing how the "DOJ" has bypassed and disregarded our constitutional laws themselves, using their own policies of enforcement against people who don't support the current political party's administration and so called leadership?
      It is so revealing seeing "our" government, openly allowing corruption among themselves and conducting a selective 2-tiered application of justice, that clearly displays how it intentionally favors a political ideology in the most blatantly unethical, in-your-face and deliberately abusive way. Then, once confronted publicly, they lie and refuse to or pretend not to know the answers when questioned - under oath. Who could possibly trust or have confidence in "the DOJ", to administer justice properly with such an absence of respect or conscience? It smells so awfully of corruption and dishonesty it's obscene. Hearing that the DOJ was investigating this situation, gave me no comfort or confidence, at all. For all we know, these city officers are enticed (likely with financial perks) to support the current political regime, only to be later "thrown under the bus" so the higher ups can look like they're "doing their job". No wonder the charging officer got so offended when called a tyrant or a traitor. Most liars act irrationally or with intimidation when they're exposed. Just another example of the dysfunction people have to endure when commie-crats take over a city or state. Do they honestly think we can't see them weaponizing the justice system against who ever calls them on their lies? They better do more than just "investigate" for this family. I could just see them doing nothing to compensate the family because they are against the family's religious beliefs. It wouldn't be the 1st time. Shameless scum.

    The irony of citing breach of peace to illegally arrest someone for speaking without inciting violence, thereby infringing on their first amendment, will never cease to amuse me. Police officers do not get to arrest people because they feel frustrated by their words. The lack of medical attention the pregnant woman received is even more shocking; that is a breach of AMA Principles of Medical Ethics. This is quite an insane video. Thank you for keeping the public and the police forces accountable and informed. Keep up the good work.

    • @VioletJewel1729
      @VioletJewel1729 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@Nixonitus would be disorderly if he used "fighting words" or intended to cause mass panic, but it is not reasonable for anyone, including a police officer, to retaliate in this way since there was no initial incendiary incident or interference with legal police duties. The first amendment ... bla bla ... I'm sure you know.

      I mean he was wrong to run back inside the church and traumatize those kids in there, he wanted to think he was big til the cuffs came out and ran to his flock like a sheep 🤷🏻‍♂️ not saying the officer was right because being called a tyrant doesn't warrant an arrest because freedom of speech but then again we didn't see the whole interaction. The whole clip prior to him running back inside would provide context

      @charlesr.h.5969 Před 3 měsíci +3

      @GiveMeYoSammich I disagree, the kids were traumatized because of the violent conduct by the cops, not by the non-violent retreat into the church prior. Your argument is flawed. Whether you think it cowardly to retreat when faced with aggression is irrelevant, people react to stressful situations in different ways. The contempt you express is similar to the disdain shown by these incompetent brutes. They care nothing for the welfare of the public they are meant to serve. That makes them unsuitable for the job. If you hate dealing with people, don't become a police officer.
