- Welcome back to a long-awaited episode in our 'Tom Talks' series.
Today we're taking closer look at our fantastic 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Competizione, which is 1 of only 12 of the very special 9000 series competition 275s ever produced and is regarded as the most original example of them all...
Did you know how special this series of 275's are?
We hope you love this car as much as we do!
Now this is a real Ferrari that embodies the soul and history of the prancing horse. Impeccable restoration on this 275 GTB
The 275 is my favorite car. I had no idea about this C model. Well done Tom, I appreciate your presentations and plan on calling you to acquire a 275 4-cam and fortunately, I am simply one lottery ticket from making that call!
I too feel the 275 GTB is my overall favorite Ferrari. I had the Privilege to Work on 2 275 GTB's in a small Exotic Car Shop. One was a triple Carb, the other had 6 Dual Barrel Webbers.
Automotive masterpiece. Thanks so much for sharing.
"I'm not going home for a few hours."
Right! What a wonderful car to put some miles on in an area where the car can show its' talents. Time very well spent!
I would choose this over a 250 GTO, it's more beautiful!
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful car. Very fond of these 275s especially the short nose cars. Thanks so much for taking us through the history of the Competizione.
This is what makes your channel essential viewing for Ferrari lovers. What an amazing car and back story. Incredible sound. Why would anyone fortunate enough to have owned it then sell it...always enjoy your great commentary.
After Enzo looked for the first time at an 1961 E-type Jaguar, he was blown away, this 275 GTB, topped it...Good job, Enzo....
Incredible that a steel body car and aluminum bodied cars were available at the same price when ordered from the factory.
Tom, you get my highest respect, and the most sincere appreciation. This channel deserves more following. Keep entertaining, and educating, I know you are enjoying this. Have a great day.
Truly a fabulous car 👏👏👏
A fantastic car, very interesting and competently presented. Congratulations
Beautiful 275 GTB Comp....!!! Right hand drive is RARE..!! from Long Island
A most enjoyable and informative video on a 'one of a kind' historical Ferrari... and no loud music !
Absolutely stunning car.Magnificent.
Amazing video, it's always fantastic to watch these because the level of knowledge is truly incredible. Add the fact you are passionate about these cars. Thanks for sharing.
My god...the beauty of this Ferrari.
No words.
Wow wow wow what a car you guys are the best in the world to sell cars like these nobody else can sell cars like you do with such respect and love for the car you can see the love for the car in your eyes thanks for sharing this with us who can only dream
The Rupert family has a 66 275 alloy long nose RHD. Red with tan interior. It is a Competizione as it have the roof lines and longer chrome strips above the door windows. Interestingly is this car fitted with alloy mags (original wheels I'm told) and not the wire wheels. Yet these guys don't mention anything about it being a Competizione. They stated that it was owned by Viscount Portman and later by Mick Fleetwood. I guess you're familiar with this car. Is it a Competizione I wonder. Greeting Daniel.
Years ago when I was a racing cyclist In Flint Michigan a guy in our club told me that his dad who was a University of Michigan professor had got a new car , so the next time I was at his house he took me out to the garage where sat a silver 275 GTB4 !!!! i hope that Flynn still has it !!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊👍👍👍👍🍺🍺🍺🍺
Gorgeous machine!! Love this car!
Wow! The car has 300 hp and 950 kgs. The ‘72 Carrera RS LW is considered as the nirvana of Fahrspass. It weights about the same but has 210 hp, considerably less. The 275 GTB C has tracks just above 1400 mm which is like 20 cm less than those of today’s supercars. It is slightly narrower than a narrow body 996 and about 10 cm longer. The tyres are 205, that is less than most mid sized saloons tyres today.
The door handles are pure piece of art. Notice how the tips of the speed stacks have been cut to give clearance to the hood and I’d love to see that hood how it starts to live at higher speeds. But I wonder if these cars are ever driven to flat out anymore.
But it is a car from another world. A world that 99.95% of us will never get. It was made in the mid ‘60s when Brigitte Bardot was the subject of men’s wet dreams but unlike BB the 275 GTB has not lost a bit of its desirability. How weird the world is.
The truth is also that it is not a car for driving pleasure. It is too valuable for that. It is an investment to art, aesthetic sensation. I would probably place it in my living room.
Fantastic car fantastic knowledge
It looks brand new. I can’t imagine what it’s worth.
Lack of imagination is sad.
I can imagine, quite a lot (0-0)
I saw this car on the road in Ashby (where THJ is) and I wondered what it was. It's quite a thing to experience.
As a diecast fan, I love these video's about cars like this.
Beautiful platinum Daytona perfect with the car ⭐️
Wow, you really know how to tell a story. Nice Rolex Daytona too ..
Nice one Tom!
A very speacial car. Thanks for sharing this
Enzo himself said that the Jag E-Type was the most beautiful car ever made... I must respectfully disagree if I may be so bold.
(E-Type... Beautiful? ... yes,
But this? You could stare at this masterpiece for days.❤)
The 60s..... Beautiful cars were everywhere! For me, its the North Star for All makes and manufacturers...that applies to your gorgeous FERRRRARIII!
Great video of a stunning car, worth waiting for Tom. Looking forward to many more.
More to come!
This car was built with a mission in mind.
Goodness gracious! My favorite hard top Ferrari! Great video! Take it to Paris one late/early morning & activate your Daytona watch and recreate Rendezvous! 😂jk
I stopped for fuel on the M4 once to be confronted by stunning midnight blue 4 cam.
The chap was traveling to a wedding with a young lady onboard who had inadvertantly got her dress for the big day enmeshed with the boot latch which couldnt be opened.
I seem to recall the big issue was that the fuel filler was inside the boot 😟.
Another aside is that a friends father used to take him to school in a 275.
Absolutely stunning 😍
What can I say! It’s just perfect in every way a real car to drool 🤤 over, well done sir 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Glad you like it!
As usual Tom jn is killin it
Chassis No. 09041 ... Thanks for the great video !!!
Stunner
Tom, you are a very lucky man...
If I was worth tens of millions, this car would be top of my bucket list. It's near perfect.
Absolutely amazing Ferrari and history. Wikipedia says only two of these cars were street legal but they came with alloy wheels rather than these special Borranis. It's indicated that Borrani spoke wheels were not used because the spokes broke under racing conditions. Comment?
Love the details as always.
Sublime. Thank you.
More of these stories please. 👍
Wow I'm in love
Stunning car.
Gives me so much pucker factor watching rare high performance cars being driven at high speed on narrow country roads where cars and farm equipment can suddenly enter the road at any second.
I'd be scared to Dent the panels sticking the Go Pros on, given how thin the panels are!
Great video!
Stunning Ferrari....all time great!
Amazing car, your best video yet 🥂👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I have a lot of favorite cars but this Ferrari 275 GTB 4 is my top favorite out of the bunch.
Yes please!
Very Nice Video. 👍🙋♂️
Thank you! Cheers!
Excellent
I have a large piggy bank I've been saving for such an occasion ,Tom. Must be quite a few dollar and two dollar coins in it.
What sort of money are you looking at to acquire this magnificent beast?
RHD would suit nicely here in Australia... ;)
Great video by Tom he is so knowledgeable love seeing his video when he does them thanks.
Our pleasure!
With that massive fuel tank, there’s hours of fun to be had…
Tom, keep it in your collection! ehehe
Top video and a great car. If it was so original did it need a restoration? the most original 9000 series is 09015 as far as I know.
Hi Richard..
Small man - big car!
Pinnacle of Ferrari gran touring cars
Fantastic design! . . . . Oh but just have a closer look . . . . Looks like an E-Type!
Hey Tom, what red is that Ferrari in terms on currently colors offered by Ferrari?.- Thanks as usual.
Kind regards.
I can’t imagine what it would cost for Ferrari to completely restore that car to original.
Silly question, not related to the video, but perhaps those following could answer, has anyone attempted to convert a 250 GT California Spyder, into a Berlinetta Coupé, through Coachbuilding, or otherwise. I'm so curious to see how it would look like
Exquisite
That's a nice car. But you knew that already.
What’s happening with the new showroom in Oxfordshire Tom?
So the Ferrari restored by Ferrari won the class. Shocked! Those judges all want to have preferred status and got it!
And the currect asking price is?....
It's very very good car can I ask how much it is if it for sale please let me know
❤
The four RHD’s doesn’t mean they are ultra rare. That means four were wasted
Great car great video 👍 how much do you want for it?
Ok for some ?? But enjoy your drive, a special drive for sure …. Beautiful vehicle….
Legendary Motorcars just did a video about one of these within the last 2 or 3 weeks. Did yall both have access to this car to consign for the owner and you both decided to upload a video or did you both just happened to release a video on an EXTREMELY rare Ferrari from the 60s?
They are not the same cars.
Why do you care
It's very nice car how much is it
Great story, stunning car 😊
But just so you know, that music and drum machine playing softly underneath your commentary sounds like you’ve got a turn signal on the whole time. Very distracting 😂 Just the sound of the engine is what most people want I’d say.
Under offer
Thanks Tom , another great video ,
one thing though ,, please don't put music over the sound of these cars during the video , nobody wants to hear that rubbish over any engine sound , it detracts and doesn't add a single thing , its just annoying and is not needed , save it to the end where we can turn it off , seriously ..
rant over , thanks
Let me just pull out my checkbook. I think I can spare $100,000,000!
It's ❤ is it for sale
Please give us a new Stock Update Video 🙏🏻
Keep your eyes peeled!
Will this car go for well over $10 million?
The estimated price range is approximately $25-30 million and above.
I honestly feel like if I were able I’d rather have this than a 250 Gto
This probably drives better, it's rarer, gives the same access to "events" all while saving $50mil+. The only thing missing is the fabled GTO moniker.
Please don't let another 5 months go by before you give us a tour of in stock cars!!!!!!!!
V12
I'll just quickly check my bank balance.
What a beautiful Car. But please, eye contact matters. Why wear the shades?
Ferris Bueller said it best.
Still, I'd rather have a 1965 short nose GTB with alloy body, outside filler cap, and 6 carbs. But that's just me.
Stiff springs - very bumpy - not a subtle cruiser
It's a racer.....
Strange how many distinguished and discerning Ferrari lovers decided after all not to keep the car. Seems to have become a dealers' asset.
That and a 250 gt swb my dream garage all you others can keep your 250 gto I really don't know what the fuss is about it's noisy hot and uncomfortable trust me I've been in one
Martin was obviously a complete baller as they say. Imagine owning such a work of art it must be fantastic but scary now with the Value. Right someone needs to convince the Lord to share a look at his Car collection. I simply love these Cars are out there cherished and well look after. It’s too posh to ask the price that would be vulgar after all. It will be listed as a please phone and you need to be on our list to be taken seriously, honestly I’d have two……😂
Everything has a price…
Is it vulgar to ask if it’s in the correct environment and context?
