In this DCS World Simulator video I'm in the F14 Tomcat and I need to take out an incoming strike made of 2 TU95 , 2 MiG31 , 2 MiG23, Hope you guys enjoy!

I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthog , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.

Great video, makes the Tomcat look like a predator, finishing the escorts and then going for the Bear.
Couple Notes about the Tomcat... Jester is ok BVR but once in VR... not so much... use horizonal auto-ack instead of vertical... it has a 20mi range vs 10 on the vertical... and you probably didn't need to shoot the second 2 54's so fast... there was enough separation that you could do the front bandits... then engage the back.. All in all, nice vid though... love the tomcat.

@@LongShotChannel You should try replacing Jester with R2D2, he does a much better job.
After using the AIm54 in TWS in order to engage with Fox1s u better switch to RWS. Tell Jester in menue to Auto adjust azimuth and elevation in BVR ranges so the radar dish starts searching again this is usually why he stops finding contacts. You have PLM for manual lock with the datum point in closer ranges. Also MRL for the RIO locks 15nm ahead. Good stuff I'd love some more Tomcat 80's era content. Cheers.
I love the cinematic beauty shots of all the aircraft and missile launches!
For bigger missions like this with a fair bit of BVR, it would be awesome to get a tac-view breakdown on what was going on for the shots that you just kind of yeet into the distance then defend without ever seeing where your missile ended up. I love seeing the way the missiles track and what maneuvers the enemies make to either evade or doom themselves.
Great flying with my favorite Fighter Jet The F14 Tomcat . Great job with guns on the bomber that was cool.
I've never hated a person as much as I hate Jester
Jester really only works well when a bandit is 20+ miles below that you want to use the horizontal (not vertical as it’s limited to 5 miles) scan mode which has a range of 15 miles and is very good at finding targets if you know there general direction
jester also finds targets better in RWS so with fox 1s you want to tell him to be in that mode
LS please don't use 'VSL LO' to aquire WVR targets, it's useless and has the lowest range (5 NM) instead use PAL which has three times more range 15 NM. btw I believe jester can't lock targets when you use pilot lock on methods such as VSL or PAL, It has be modes like TWS or RWS for jester to be able to lock. keep f-14 videos coming, love it.
Also the mode of radar is displayed on top of 'stick and thrust display overlay'. (which you have it disabled)
I really enjoy when you do missions with Growling Sidewinder and make him nervous. I crack up hard

Ah, Jester. Simultaneously the best and worst thing about the Tomcat in DCS.
I'm surprised you didn't use 2 F-14's for the mission as would have been actual practice. One Tomcat to deal with the escorts and one to kill the bombers BEFORE they launched their cruise missiles.
Jester is just living up to his name. He's just as useful as a court jester.

Vertical scans are much shorter ranges for high aspect dogfights. Use the standard scan for around 15 mile locks

To be fair, half the time you were telling Jester to lock something that hasn't been picked up on the radar yet, or telling him to lock the bomber when you have VSL low on, a pilot override mode that takes control of the radar away from Jester xD

That Foxhound was causing you some grief, if they'd had their R-37s or R 37Ms , this would have been really rouhg-
on the other hand, YOU should take the Mig 31 Foxhound for a spin- i feel like with your mastery of using altitude and speed- given a Mach 3, 80 - 100 thousand ft capable plane slinging R37M's, Kinzhals - - you'd be able to dominate everything.(And the jsn64 mig 31mod is decently polished) - you should give it a spin!

Within 15Nm if you use PAL mode you should be able to lock him. VSL-Low only have a 5Nm range

I am afraid you are using Jester wrong. He is not "AI RIO", he doesnt look for targets, he just presses buttons. You have to babysit him all the time, telling him where to point the radar. Jester can lock TRACKS, but if there is no TRACKs on TID repeater then there is no point of trying to ordering him "lock target ahead". Find track first then you can order him to lock it. Also a tip, for closer ranges i recommend using RWS and not TWS. RWS uses much more bars so looking for targets at 10nm with TWS is like using F18s 40 degrees scan with 4 bars, like looking through the straw....
Don’t loft the 54 it will miss a maneuvering bandit.
So from the four Phoenixes only one hit a Tu-95 Bear, all other missed? One MiG-31 I think just crashed into the hill.
An F-4 Phantom II vs. MiG-23 would be nice, 2on2 or 2on4? If you could fly the MiG-23 as well would interesting too.
