You know the thing that gets me about this is that the Batman universe actually doesn't lack asian characters... like at all.
We have Punchline, Katana, Cassandra Kain, Detective Ellen Yin, Lady Shiva. Ext.
Some would even argue that Ras Al Ghul and Talia are Asian so... You don't HAVE to change the race of one of the most iconic female characters of all time to fit an agenda.
And I am ALL for just not having Joker or Harley for one show! That would be great. Batman has such a big rogue gallery and it would be awesome for them to highlight people who are NOT these two for a change.
Heck... If you want to do Punchline, who is a completely different character than Harley.. Just do Punchline, that would be cool.
I am not really against changing characters pr say, I liked "The Batman." and how it had its own take on so many characters. But it's the reasons behind it that gets really annoying and grating these days.
When "The Batman." made Clayface into a black man called Ethan, nobody cared he was black, it wasn't a big deal nor was it presented as a big deal, his whole character wasn't his blackness but that he was Bruce's best and oldest friend, and then got to have his. "One bad day." episode making him pretty much the best developed character of the whole show.
And Ellen Yin as a brand new character who was Batmans partner was great too, heck I am actually SAD they moved away from Ethan and Yin and instead went more traditional, I would have LIKED for these two to continue their story archs, and maybe even give Yin a costume or something... Oh well... Could have should have, who knows.

Well the multiverse was made to explain all the different batman character types and other characters that got made, also there already is many different Harley Q's.

@@AmadithArt If you mean multiverses, then close to 1k, some were destroyed or is crumbling, there is being added more multiverses as alternate comics are being made.
Edit: My apology, I might have taken fan mad multiverse into the count, but the number is still high, with 112 known multiverses.
@@AmadithArt, just double checked something, it seems there are 112 officially known multiverses, but some of those I have seen have very high numbers, and then there is the Dark Multiverse too.
But the multiverse is a fucking cop-out for shit writing.
Bruce Timm can easily make this the true harlequin- to distance this character from the current Woke Harley… it can also be a very smart business decision to take in more cash 💰
I'm willing to see since its Bruce doing it.
