My good friend who actually got me into thrifting years ago, told me she got her name brand, bougie gym clothes secondhand. I always thought that was too intimate for me, similar to thrifting undies, but now I've gotten over that. There is so much, barely used, quality gym stuff waiting to be washed and rehomed out there
Yeah like if it is obviously really worn out/stained/smelly, I wouldn’t buy it but that goes for anything at the thrift lol. But I know I personally have donated leggings etc. that I wore like once so I assume other people have done the same!

I've literally bought underwear at the thrift store. I have no shame. But also you can tell when it's new, maybe someone washed them, but they've obviously not been worn. That's what I get. My GW prices them for 79 cents so I always check! Same with men's boxers which are the perfect summer pj pants.
I buy athletic wear 2nd hand, never thought ppl would be weird about that... love watching Kathleen who may not be a "full time youtuber" but is 100% my fav youtuber!!! 🥰

I just found a v similar pair of white pants at the thrift store, and they're a linen/silk blend! I'm also a tall girl so the fact that they're long enough is a gift from the gods!!

I realize that I am just another drop in the love bucket that is the comments section this week....but I just had to tell you that I love you. Not in a weird way, but in a "hello, friend. Thank you for inviting me for coffee and a look out your peaceful back window" way. Also, you find great stuff at the thrift and have more self control than moi. Would have definitely gotten a few of those white blouses!!

The thing about active wear at the thrift store is that I have a feeling it ends up there because someone bought it intending to work out, but either gave up early or just never started. So not so icky after all. Plus like you said, laundry detergent,
washing machine, plus bleach is all you need.
YES ON THE COUCH CHAOS! I have to reset…drape or fold the blankies, fluff the pillas ..even if no one else sees how pretty it is, it will be a gift to my future self 🥰
Most of my friends look at me in a funny way, when I buy shoes second hand eventhought they mostly look amazing and are very easy to take care of hygiene wise. They never smell and come in at a fraction of the original price. Which is a win in my books, so I won't stop doing that anytime soon ... 😇
Me too! I found classic Vans and Doc Marten lace-up sandals at a local secondhand shop last year, and I’m never looking back. I also buy shoes on eBay if I’m looking for something specific. I just don’t tell my mom, she would be horrified…
@rochelle2758 And Poshmark! You can even search for specific brands and styles that you *know* will fit you, because you already have a pair (that's older, or in a different colour, etc)

I remember (instant elder vibes) when I saved up for a similar but more chonk pair when i was 15 - i wanted them so badly that I bought a size up because thats all that they had at the smol town shop. It kind of gave those old shoe commercials with the HUGE feets/shoes and wide leg pants ❤️🔥

Vinegar is a safe and easy disinfectant. I soak my clothes in it and BAM! Smells are gone germs are gone and the clothes seem brighter. You’re welcome.

Glad to have a cozy, classic thrift with me video this week ^^ Btw throwing out that I appreciate when you show trying on things that don’t fit or you don’t end up liking. 90% of what I try on when thrifting ends up not working out, which can sometimes wear on me. When you show it in your videos, I find it relatable and encouraging 💪
One of the first places I check at the thrift store is the slips/shapewear section because I like to wear silky bloomers under my dresses and skirts instead of bike shorts and I have been able to find several over the years. The best part is, they always fit somehow even though I'm a size 20 and they usually have some lace trim which is fun to see poking out sometimes. My friends think its strange that I check that section since its considered underwear but hey, have you heard of bleach and laundry detergent?

Grade 8….Harem Pants, bought them at BH Emporium at the mall. Wore them with a high low floral blouse from Suzy Shier and you could not tell me I wasn’t anything other than everything.

Sometimes I buy work out gear at the thrift store and of course I go home and put them through the wash and bleach them before wearing them. When I am at the thrift store, I go for the dresses and skirts because, apparently, I do not have enough 🙃

Just when I needed cheering up, in a bit of a style rut where I dont know what to wear for my holiday in 2 weeks, I just look at my wardrobe and like meh i just wanna wear shorts and a soft t shirt. Annoying i love clothes I want to be inspired. Also having an OCD moment where I want everything to be perfect, like have the same Jean's in 3 washes, shorts of different fits, t shirts in every colour, annoying myself. Paint those pants! Also I totally get the blankets on the couch! I have 3 dogs. Instead of blankets I use the no pill fleece from Joann’s. It works great! You can get it in a matching color and cut to fit. Make sure you get extra to tuck in and under! Washes great and has lasted years!

I love buying work out clothing from the thrift store! My only complaint about that is that sometimes the items are a little stretched out so I end up sizing down. Also, sometimes it's difficult to find high support sports bras because things can tend to be stretched out so if I am looking for specific types of work out clothing (usually bras) I will end up buying new a lot.

Glue sticks are amazing!
I'm a crafter / craft supplies collector, and even the stickers I buy brand new sometimes end up drying up before I use them. Glue sticks are my back-up!
My Salvation Army also has a crap ton of deadstock Zara, and the prices are ridiculous. So far I have not caved and bought any Zara merch. But I like the Salvation Army bc one color will be 99 cents, and two other colors will be half off. I try to limit my purchases to those 3 colors. So far this year it has worked pretty well.

In the UK, some charity shops are fullllll of brand new zara. Usually the prices are pretty good for new clothes. I got some jeans a couple years back and they are just my favourite lil bottoms

I adore those purple pants! I'd love to go thrifting and find myself some loose, comfy shorts or pants for summer. I hate jeans and I'm slowly gaining weight so I've been wearing exclusively skirts. And I love my skirts, don't get me wrong, but I do miss shorts sometimes.
