    What I like is how themes were reused in each successive ending theme, yet each one managed to add its own touch. For example, an Explorers theme could clearly be heard in Super, and even a little in Gates, and Super managed to incorporate aspects of Gates as well (probably most obviously it instrumentation). The link isn't always very obvious, but it's there, and I love the Mystery Dungeon series for that, the way it's all connected.

    psmd ending is so sad, I don't know how switching the roles makes it so heart destroying, I'm guessing because the partner has more character than the player and the plot twist but holy sht was that ending the saddest thing ever

    • @Galdr
      @Galdr Před 7 lety +5

      PaulOwnzU
      I'll agree that the partner had more backstory this time. That could be why it impacted it; the partner in their current form still had so many unfinished dreams and it was going to be ripped away from them due to their past. That's what got me to get sad about PSMD's ending. The role reversal in that sense triggered feelings out of me. I didn't shed any tears-I might have to blame this on the fact I'm a bit older, but I still felt terrible. Chunsoft just has that magical touch, I guess. The music that goes along with it is also adds effect, too.

      Galdr yeah I didn't cry either because I don't cry much (I cried 1 year ago on white collars finale but my whole family cried so it's ok) but you are so right about the partners dreams not finishing, or how how he became a expedition member and then got taken away a few days later can't wait for gen 7 mystery dungeon if it comes out

      it's because you expect the player character to be the one who "dies" and you're all prepared after 4 generations of it, and then bam its your partner who dies. it's the shock and unexpectedness, which is what makes PMD games so brilliant, they always bring something new to the table

    I still remember the day when I beat PMD explorers of Time, I couldn't leave the game for like an hour of how sad I felt when I realized it was over.......
    MAJOR SPOILER AHEAD.....
    But then then the story continued when palkia took you and your partner to another dimension. But you know that was in the post game. But when I was battling Dialga I was remembering everyone, the guild members dusknoir celebi and Grovyle. I learned that Dusknoir eventually became good , from playing as grovyle.
    I learned two things from the game. First is that you should never judge someone from an act they do. Second try to help that person become a better person, they will thank you in the future. Second is that it's hard for me to say goodbye to people that I love, I'm going to a new high school and I won't know anyone, I will be so afraid in September. But I know I can make it through the year. I will miss all my friends. If you are listening I will miss Rosa Caelan Ronan Brooklyn and Lavinia. You guys were the best and no one can replace you. I will always have a spot for you guys in my heart.
    Please Nintendo keep on making mor Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games and I will play them all.

    • @DMT-yx6nj
      @DMT-yx6nj Před 8 lety

      +julie martinez For me, when i first got pmd blue rescue team, it was pre-owned, now, my seven year old me did not check out the progress the person made after beating the post game. I regret it now, even though as if i would remember the contents of that file, 5 or 6 years later than when i got it, and yeah, the 10th anniversary has passed, i just hope they remake those games someday, doesn't even have to be an anniversary, but it would make it more special to our hearts. And I love the concept of totally remixed music, without ruining the flare these old games that we still adore in our hearts brought to us. And for now, just play the saddest songs, and the credits, and cry because we still love it. And will never get sick of it. I am currently replaying with the same team that i am using in PSMD, no spoilers for the amazingness that is PSMD's story, that i count as equal as Explorers of Sky/Time/Darkness, but PSMD's music is more of an acquired taste. Unless we are talking about the partners theme, but that was implemented into almost the entire soundtrack in minor. And also for your earlier comment about the partner pretty much abandoning you, it was sad, really, my approximately eight year old self was really disappointed after a while into the post game when the partner stopped visiting, I thought it had to do with my starter and it evolving, but now i know that that is not true, but even now in Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, i refuse to evolve my starter and my partner, i just flat out refuse, and then there is a friend at school who doesn't get that i can't change me and my partners ability, he says overgrow sucks, but it is useful in PSMD, oh and the Distance Dodge Emera is over powered in the first fight against Dark Matter, then in the second fight... All Emeras gone. There went 18 reviver seeds, I had no reviver seeds left when i beat it, and my heart was pounding. But after figuring out the existence of Sand Dune of Spirits, well, after multiple attempts just bringing only reviver seeds (and failing) I decided to bring all my petrify and stayaway wands, and a couple petrify orbs in case of monster houses. Luckily i did not have to use a single one. Then was that forest place in the grass continent, I forget its name. Then purifying cave, where i got my partner back :) and lost the scarves :(

    For the staff credits:
    1:PSMD goes in a first place because of the music with closely like heroic music, but the flaw is that they don't show you places that you've been through.
    2: PMDGTI is the same thing but the setting is different from it. Nice Rainbow to it.
    3: PMD also is like the two PMD's but the music is 8bit(Crush bit maybe?) flaw, but it makes up for the background.
    4: PMD: RRT/BRT goes to a silm last place because of 8bit, less exciting music (A little lively though.), and the background is less interesting.
