  • Finnish death metal. From the album, "Nespithe". Released in 1993 by Necropolis.
About as weird as Finnish death metal can get. Demilich abandons all semblance of conventional melody and harmony in return for incredibly fucked up dual riffs. The vocals on this record are the best belching vocals you'll ever hear, and way better than all those slam/deathcore vocalists we see nowadays. Funfact: The title of this album - Nespithe, Ne spi the, the spi ne, The Spine!
Track 4 - The Echo (Replacement)
    The incarnation of Echos
    A creature from below
Your destiny is to be it
    After eating of your soul
    You feel its cold limb
It's soon you, you're sooner him
    Transformation... Degeneration...
    Now you're the creature
    The incarnation of All Echos
Your purpose in life is to imitate sounds and find
    your follower

Nice stuff. Love the whole sound. Stabby drums and proper ampy guitar. Even though I am pissed right now on JD - I still can appreciate the genius of a good composition.

Yeah cause they didn’t have a choice. Obscura was written in 1993 and supposed to be released in 1994 but they had issues with their label.
