VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 14. 07. 2024
- Watch as we tackle some long overdue RV maintenance! We start off by taking care of the hot water heater tank side of things, where we show you how to make sure there is no heat or water pressure before starting any work. We then remove our hot water heater anode rod and perform a flush and clean of the tank. Next, we sanitize our freshwater tanks and all the lines throughout the RV. To finish, we replace all of our water filters, install a new hot water heater anode rod and show you how we bring the system back online for full time use!

Very thorough. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for subscribing to our channel and for sharing this info !! great video!
Thank you.
Nice explanation, buddy. Itâs pretty simple but it can be intimidating to people. Lol. I gotta get these projects done!!!
Thanks for watching! This is one of the easier ones to do, but it does require time!
Great step-by-step tutorial! This will help lots of folks that have not done this before. Everyone should make a step-by-step checklist to make sure they have everything they need before they start and don't miss any steps or forget to sanitize any fixtures. I wish I could have done this when I got back from my trip, but the sub freezing weather will have to make it wait until spring...
This one is pretty easy it just takes time to complete. It actually takes about 4 times longer than it should when you decide to film it!
@@PavingNewPaths Hahaha!!! Everything takes longer when you're trying to make a video while doing it. Sure looks quick and easy when the video's done though!!!đ
So glad I found your channel. You all do an awesome job of putting these videos together. Congratulations on the upcoming addition to the family!
Thanks so much for the positive words and support! We appreciate it! We are excited to add our baby boy to our family!
Good video just a note. Never flip on the hot water heater electric element switch until the hot water tank is full of water. You can easily burn up a element this way.
Thanks for watching! That switch outside does not turn on the hot water heater electrical element! That is the master cut off for the system! You have to turn on the electrical hot water heater from the panel inside the camper, for us that is the one control screen. You set it to the off position while servicing the system, if you forget to switch it back to on, then it will not work when you turn the system on from your panel!
@@PavingNewPaths well damn thatâs good to know. I just got my 398M last week and new to the One Control myself. I always knew on my old camper that switch was how you turn it on and off as there was no one control to operate. Learn something everyday
So letâs say my comment goes for anyone who does not have a one control system! đ
@@PavingNewPaths while we are talking. I have a issue on my main black tank flush inlet. I have a leak while using the flush port. And ideas where to look. I have appointment with the dealer as itâs under warranty but itâs 2 months out.
No problem, I forgot to turn it back on the first time and thought my hot water heater was broken!
Where do you see the leak? Is it on the black connection where you attach the hose or is it on the inside behind the panel? It also travels through a vaccum break that is likely under your master sink before going to the tank!

Thank you!
One additional step I recommend is to run a cycle on your washing machine and dishwasher empty, if your unit has them, to make sure you get out all the bleach water. You don't want to ruin a load of laundry the first time you use the washing machine after sanitizing...
We actually run the washing machine multiple cycles after this process. Usually at least two cycles for hot and two for cold!

Thanks for watching!
Nice video. We just bought a new to us 2019 Grand Design Momentum 376th. So Iâll be getting everything prepped for the road and going over all the systems in the unit. What tpms are you using and how do you like it?
I went with tirelinc from lippert it syncs with your one control in your camper. You can set air pressure and temperature alarm levels and get notifications on your phone while driving!
