Join me in this travel day vlog to Montego Bay Jamaica to experience this beautiful island and the incredible Sandals and Beaches Resorts. I flew from Orlando to Montego Bay airport on JetBlue. I met up with my friend Sarah at the airport's Sandals Lounge that all guests of a Sandals Resort get to enjoy while you wait for your transfer to the hotel. We got on our bus and headed to Sandals Dunn's River Resort to check in for our 3 night stay! Our room was a club level concierge room so we were given access to Club Sandals upon arrival. The staff welcomed us with a cocktail and got us all checked in. We filmed a room tour of our sandals dunns river room before getting ready for our first evening at the resort. We had dinner at L'Amand the French restaurant at the resort. We then enjoyed a stroll and checked out some of the nighttime entertainment before heading to bed.

I'm booked for Sandals Dunn's River in March! This will be our 2nd Sandals experience and I'm SO happy this is where your Jamaica trip is-with your previous videos I thought no way it could be the same resort. Can't wait to hear all your thoughts on the food, drinks, pool, etc.

During this trip we toured a couple different Sandals properties in the area, they all had something unique but I say it in an upcoming vlog that Dunn’s River was hands down my favorite! Beautiful property, such wonderful staff and great food! You picked a good one!

Sandals is my favorite resort. Haven’t stayed at Dunn’s River yet since it’s new. My favorite Sandals property is the Royal Plantation
When mom and I traveled, we would find our gate and the bathroom, then we would shop before we got on the plane. We always had short flights so looking out the window and having the snack and a coke was about all the time we had.That has to be the biggest shower I have ever seen. Your whole room was absolutely beautiful. Looking forward to the other vlogs. As always Meg another awesome vlog!!😊

Really nice room and the balcony was like the cherry on top. Then you showed the pool balcony and I didn't know that was a thing! Excited to see the rest of the trip. Hope you had a lot of Blue Mountain coffee.

I just recently flew out to Bozeman, Montana from New York's JFK and all I can say is Jet Blue is the way to go! I mean the in flight movie selection on each tv screen, in front of every tv screen makes it so worth it and more tolerable since it was 5 hours for me. Might I recommend the movie "The Holdovers". It's a great new Christmas movie.
I stayed in this resort in 2019 when it was called Jewel Dunn’s River. Sandals bought the property and redid it.

That airport terminal looks so much nicer than the one I normally go through, I don’t know if it’s A or B can’t remember but the one where the Burger King was that shut down years ago. When I’m on the plane I have to watch movies I can’t just read because I find the background noise of the plane too annoying, headphones are needed!

I went to MCO from Raleigh NC and landed got out at terminal C. Yes its pretty and new but i wanted the old part with the tram for the full disney experience!!! Lol

The resorts are very nice and peaceful, but to get the true Jamaican experience, you have to leave the hotel. Interact with the locals, try local food, learn the culture, dance and then you’ll experience the richness of Jamaica.
Sandals one of the few jamaican owned superhotels of the many brands thats in operation on the island....owned by the stewart family and the largest jamaican owned

I do solo trips to Jamaica all the time. I don't do all-inclusive, can't afford them and I don't eat a lot and I am not a drinker. I feel that it would be a waste of money for me. ❤❤

I have never done an all inclusive…so do you tip each person as in…when u went to dinner, you tipped the server?
Sandals have a no tip policy. Other hotels allow it.

Well then go to Hawaii! Jamaica is iconic. People travel for experience- and people like different things. For instance, I have been to Hawaii and could have had the same experience in Florida! If you tell a stranger you went to Hawaii- the most they may ask is how it was. But if you told the same person you went to Jamaica, that would pique the person's genuine interest.
Jamaica is closer to us on the east coast of USA 🇺🇸 .. and it is an international destination … the water is just as clear as well . The Caribbean is the best

So funny to hear this. The media can really spread false rumors and fair. Millions of tourists travel to Jamaica yearly, tourism is the main income for the economy. Do a research and see how many tourists ever get hurt in Jamaica, it would be hard to find any frequency of that. If you go to Jamaica, base on what you see and hear in the media you would keep asking your self if you are at the right place because your experience would be nothing resembling the fear you have and what you believe from the media. Believe it or not it is easier to get killed by the gun in the USA then to be killed in Jamaica. Crime in Jamaica is concentrated in inner cities among gangs. Nothing to do with the population of the island and no different from any other city in the world.
Nowhere is safe in this world.
