  • Installing my Watersnake Geo-Spot 65lb electric motor onto my little boat.
    Using the nylon quick release bracket, I mount the setup on the bow of my Fishing Boat Project. I had previously installed the Watersnake Nav Sensor and couldn't wait for the motor to arrive so I could test them out together. Now to add water and see how they perform.

    Hay mate. Is this the 60inch one? And if it is do you think it would suit a 4.4 runabout?

      You would have to measure the bow height to the waterline to see what shaft length you need, all boats are different. Cheers

    Hi mate, thinking of buying one myself, how long did it take to install the motor? Cheers

    Do you need a sounder to run the gos or does it do it by itself

    Have you trimmed the shaft shorter, and if so was it complicated?

      Hi, I'm only running an old 100ah deep cycle agm battery, it was stored at the farm for 6 years before I used it, its still holding up well, I would recommend a 125ah or the lithium ones if you can afford it. Cheers

    Hi. Not sure if you still run this trolling motor. Would you mind giving me your honest opinion on this motor and if it is good value for money. Thanks in advance and kind regards.

      @@clarkster98 Yes, 3xAAA's. If you have an anaconda store nearby, use their price beat guarantee. About $1,500 for the Geospot 65lb/54" once they price beat. Bargain.

      Hi, I use 316 stainless steel screws and bolts and marine sikaflex glue, you can use roof and gutter silicone if you cant get sikaflex. Cheers

      @coasttocountryaustralia  Před rokem +5

      Yes, I need to do a video on it soon. Works great, I used it in some strong winds, big current and swell and it held position within about 1-2 metres. In better conditions the boat stays still. Cheers

    Hey mate i have the same motor, what i find annoying sometimes is the cord gets all twisted around the shaft. Have u had this happen? If so, any solution?
