This video saved me time and lots of money I was about to spend on a monitor. Much love and respect mi boss! Only some cameras work with the app wirelessly. I use an a7iii and I got the app to work by connecting a USB C into my camera and plugging it into my iPad. Turn Ctrl /w Smartphone off then in Setup 4 change USB Connection to PC Remote and make sure USB power Supply is Off. Hope this helps! Subscribed!
Yes. But to be honest of you're only doing photos I don't think you'd need the additional monitoring features. And you're proabably able to get by with the basic features in the free Sony Creators app.

Hi thanks for watching. Yes, the app is basically controlling the camera. So focus, picture profile, white balance, etc. is all applied to the footage. Thing like LUTs are not, and only used for monitoring. Hope that makes sense.

I was hoping for some photography features like focus stacking, but it seems to be primarily for video users.
Definitely more geared towards video.

Yeah features vary on your camera model. But I think wired connection will work.

Unfortunately the a6400 only supports a wired connection.
The FX6 runs a different operating system than the alpha style cameras. So I don't think it would work.
