I just bought this slider and would love to make it a bit more quiet by using nylon balls. Can you tell me where you purchased yours? Thanks

Actually, almost all of my balls were salvaged from "extras" parts of other toys.. And, I should say that I'm making an assumption that they are nylon.
I just measured the balls that I am using, and they are about 2.8mm.
The closest size I could find on Amazon are PP (polypropylene) 3mm balls, but I am guessing that they should work for you..
Here's an unaffiliated link to the ones that I found ⤵️

Thanks very much for this helpful information! I ended up purchasing a similar item from ebay. Since I'm located in Australia, that was the fastest option (and I was feeling impatient). I'll let you know how I go. Cheers

Sorry, no, I have never had a WJ Brownie slider. I was not attracted to the design. I think it's too expensive and too unatractive for what it has to offer.

From what I’ve seen, the grooves are only on the zirc version.

I got it in zirc, in case you guys are curious. The slide stop design is identical and the grooves do not have a function like this ding ding slider. I think they are there to simply reduce the weight or amount of material used.
