For everyone who asks, Difficulty doesn't change enemy's health, just how much extra damage you do to them
Hi Jack Rigby
The hp does not vary between the standard and professional difficulty, the difference is that in the professional difficulty the enemies are faster and more resistant.
You can check it in this video I uploaded: czcams.com/video/2wAEk6XkyEQ/video.html
@@YOYODODO im sorry but enemy being more resistant is actually inverse of taking extra damage. the question is - what are those modifiers value that change the damage
In the original, wasn’t it all the same and the only difference was that enemies did more damage?
@@YOYODODO Unless you have information I'm not aware of, that's incorrect. There was a video posted where it shows there is no random variance of health pools. However, the damage you do is calculated by a handful of factors: the most noteworthy being type of weapon, gamestage and critical hits. They are in fact faster in terms of their more aggressive AI, however in terms of back end coding it's more common to use inheritance in object-orientated programming. This is why there's no variance in health pools as it's simply more efficient and resourceful.
@@LT_PL basically means they take less damage, making them feel harder.
Verdugo taunting you is one of the most effective move he has in his arsenal
Yea he threw me into a rage. I fought him until my herbs, armor, knife, nitrogen and ammo ran out and still had to run. Soul is still burnt from that one I'm going back to kill him😅
It’s crazy thinking about when I shot him more than two times in a rocket launcher but it takes the main bosses one shot. Why did y they make him soo strong
@@TomTheCat. maybe because of the nitrogen gimmick
Maybe it was hard or impossible to make him invulnerable except if you use nitrogen so they bumped his HP high enough to incentivise using the gimmick
@@Necris02 also the fact that you can basically skip killing him. Made him extra strong so its a reward killing him.
@@TomTheCat. yea just use the nitrogen hes not that strong i did that plus 8 bullets of maxed out broken butterfly and that was it
Nobody gonna talk about how clean those boss fights were?
REAL
It’s really cool that enemies have variable hp making for an inconsistent formula, helps keep the game fresh
That’s literally any game with more than 2 types of enemies
._.
@@silent_stalker3687no, what they mean is that each type of enemy has a health range on which their health can fall, which means some enemies will die from one bullet two the head and others can take multiple shotgun shots.
@@silent_stalker3687 This is very different. Some games can have one enemy type with 1000hp and another with 2000hp, but you can measure exactly how to kill those enemies guaranteed every single time, like 4 pistol shots at 250dmg each to kill a 1000hp enemy, for example.
This game has the SAME enemy with variable health, and it doesn't vary a little, it varies a LOT. A standard enemy villager can have their heads explode by a single pistol shot crit, or they can take 2 shots, or they can survive an entire point blank shotgun shell to the face. You can never absolutely guarantee a kill every single time, unless you're using specifically insanely powerful weapons.
It keeps you on your toes, and gives you surprise dopamine when your enemies die faster than you expected.
Thats been the case for all the modern RE games, I believe, since RE7 and RE2 Remake
This has been absolutely fascinating, especially regarding Verdugo, Regeneradors/Iron Maidens, and Del Lago. Verdugo is the only enemy in the game that can legit take multiple rockets to kill (three for me), though Iron Maidens can sort of take two with their gimick of transforming rather than dying after taking lethal.
But Del Lago is where I was really curious/fascinated, because I've struggled to pin down how many hits to kill. Getting the no missed harpoon challenge, I killed it in 12 hits on Assisted, but I've had other playthroughs on both Assisted and Standard where it took 22/23. Meanwhile, Hardcore/Professional, it seemed to take 28-30 hits. So, yeah, I was really curious about Del Lago. Thanks for this!
There is a hidden "director" in the game that increases or decreases difficulty from a range of 1 to 11.
Killing enemies, not taking hits for a while and having a lot of resources increases the difficulty modifier.
Taking hits, dying, missing shots lowers the difficulty modifier (hardcore and professional are locked to 10 or 11).
Depending on what your modifier is, you can kill Del Lago in as little as 7 hits (if you manage to hit a bug with the difficulty curve that sets the difficulty to 0)
To add to the previous comment: if they keep the same philosophy as in the original professional will have the difficulty permanently maxed out regardless of performance
@@willcheat do you have a source for this? I'd greatly appreciate it if you do.
@@oddgbmo3036 this video explains the director and how del lago can go down in 7 hits

Del lago almost fully healed itself between cycles.
No wonder it's such a pain in the ass to kill quickly. You can't miss a single shot and need to be hyper aggressive with firing off as many as possible.
I suspect it only heals a certain percentage of its HP, which reduces over time. No way the devs would make it a softback for someone with bad accuracy.
No doubt! When you first start up you need to get as many hits in an not miss one hit. Otherwise you gone playing catch up with limit time to hit him in between.
@Angel Irbin No wonder I beat him easily in Professional and died 3 times in Standard! I was shocked!
@@LEWIS1992 actually he heals 80% after first cycle and 30% after second cycle.
@angelirbin6716
Speed run rules? There are no rules babyyyyy
Man I always had a hunch that verdungo was the strongest boss in this game
Fast enemy + tight space + massive HP. Now that's frustrating
Yeah, evasion is the intention, but the achievement is meant to be a challenge unless you use the rocket.
Impenetrable shell imagine you have to defeat vardugo without freezing
Because you aren't meant to kill him.
Don't forget that he's also immune to bullets.
@@quint3ssent1a he's not, he just seems to be because of his ridiculous HP.
Now this is some good info! Thank you really puts into perspective the damage you’re doing to enemies
Gotta say this guy is pretty good at parrying and evading attacks
Agreed. I was pretty good at the original RE 4 but I'm doing so poorly with this remake because parrying just isn't in my muscle memory and everything seems to be more resistant to stagger lol
yeah !!!! super awesome , perfect !!!
GIGACHAD Verdugo as always.
Here’s a tidbit to save ammo during the Brute encounter: If you have a frag, throw it at him when he’s on the bridge. It will make him stumble and he will fall to his death.
I use the booby trap that is nearby, then when a knife shot is on the wall and finally I go up the stairs that are nearby and when he goes up 1 or 2 shots in the head🖤🤙
Only time I ever want to kill the mini bosses is if they drop treasure. You get invincibility frames when you push the cart but you can still die
_processes that_
...wait wouldn't a single shotgun shell stop him dead in his tracks and push him off?
Well done. Thank you for making the time to compile this information. It will be most handy.
I love how you have all the official names, yet you just refer to dr.Salvador as ‘chainsaw man’😂
They don’t call him Salvador in the remake sadly. I think the only place he’s referred to that is the bottle cap in the original, maybe the charm too. He’ll always be the good doctor to me though
@@wonderguardstalker they do call him Salvador if you get his charm .
the charms are all the old characters and models though
@@huitzil2389 but the game still call him salvador
@@huitzil2389 A lot of the new enemies still have the same names though.
Seeing how little damage you do to the regenerator without hitting the plaga is actually kinda scary. Also the verdugo health bar is insane! I love his fight much better in the remake. He actually feels like a monster who used to be human with the way he taunts you, and he doesn't feel cheap excuse for a rocket launcher purchase like in the original.
@@DrSalvadorsSack git gud
@@DrSalvadorsSack I got S++. Better luck next time!
He's still worth buying a rocket launcher for. It's not even "skill issue" or that he's unfun like Salazar, you just gain so much more from skipping him than wasting time and resources fighting him legitimately.
@@GIR177 Or just give him your unused BB shots.
this some useful info for new game+ thanks! good gameplay too, you make short work
Bro this is so dope. Thanks a lot
I like that verdugo has more health than any enemy in the game but only drops a monocle worth 3 dollars
What? he drops the most expensive single treasure in the game(30,000)

I knew it ! When I shoot to normal enemies like villagers, zealots, and island soldiers or when their plaga kicks in, I be like “WHAT?! AM I SHOOTING BLANKS?! 😡” Especially, when I use the shotgun.
I use SPR for that now, handcannon from mercenaries ftw
This is really interesting, thank you for the vid. Btw can you make a video showcasing the melee damage including unique knife attacks on bosses?
The Garrador first encounter was so sick
Looks like Raid Mode in RE: Revelations 1&2. Awesome
Kinda wish this was an option. Not sure it would help. But definitely make me feel better lol.
Verdugo defense + 55000 health
Very strong
Strongest boss in the game
Yeah somehow I killed him with a punisher. Just gotta make those headshots
Pretty sweet evade / parry / counter guide too, lovely
Feels like an auto parry mod.
Awesome. Now id like to see damage differences. For example, the difference between shooting el gigante in the face and the worm. Or the difference between a frozen verdugo vs not. Does Krauser take extra knife damage? etc
Thanks you for showing with the golden egg
All hp deffirintiation are based on Adaptive Difficulty, so if you perform poorly you encounter low hp enemies more.
hard maybe from me. Especially the bosses part. You might be right but it doesn't seem to vary enough for it to make a difference. Biggest example being the ramon fight. Is a well known speedrunning shot that ramon dies to exactly 1 golden egg then an exact amount of sniper + magnum shots (forgot the exact number now). So the variance must be small enough where it doesn't affect the amount of shots it takes and is therefore pretty insignificant even if true.
Professional difficulty locks adaptive difficulty at Max setting iirc
@@yeayea115 At least in the OG Game. IDK about this one, but I'd say yes
How does the game know you're performing poorly? Taking damage, missing shots, dying etc. ?
@@windbeneathmywings4884 all of the above and your inventory
Inpressive gameplay and interesting video. Really enjoyed this
Looks like revelations raid mode all the time! Love it! I tried health bars early on and unfortunately had frequent crashes so had to stop using it.
Como configuro las barras de salud en el juego 😮
@@gatogamer_kigo4424it's a mod
I just did the Bella Sisters on Pro with a maxed out Fighting Knife. One flashbang and they both died to one knife finisher each. Surprising and awesome. Now if someone can explain how the weapon damage translates into enemy health that'd be great.
I had no idea Del Lago regens. Its impossible to miss I even hit it through waves.
Do you use aim assist?
Good gameplay bro:)
Many years ago I did a video like this for the original Re4 giving an HP measure in weapons power level, that was because it could be helpful and also I found out actually there was virtually no inmortal enemy, as enough power kill everyone.
Sure, some like helmets or regenerators without shooting its plagas or Sadler shoting his human body leftover instead of his eyes were so durable that in a regular playthrough is useless doing that because too much ammo waste, but is posible doing that. Makes me so happy watching a video of remake doing exactly this.
Yep, Verdugo and Jack Crauser are the best bosses.
Fax
Crauser
My mans Krauser is my favorite boss/character in the remake no 🧢
Krauser was one of the easiest bosses, so not for me. Verdugo was quite annoying.
@@nothingmuch4004 yeah, actually having to parry his attacks is crazy. Makes you realize how much that block carried you on hardcore lol
I was hoping you'd show first el Gigante with the dog in the fight to see how his hp looks after the dog joins in as I heard it gives him a health boost just like how del Lago gets one when not defeated before diving down at you at one point.
Nice information dude so useful
If one of the Bella sisters get killed the other one goes crazy and her health pool increases
God damn bro your knife parries are insane
Love Krauser’s new voice
I wish I would have known that Del Lago recovers health sooner…
Good Video!
I love the detail is that Leon is genuinely scared of iron maiden and regenerador 😭😭
Who wouldn’t be like just look at those abominations
Was there consistency on your part? Was this done with min or max upgraded weapons? How do we translate 1.90 damage calculation to 600 hp???
It's unfortunate that Salazar's "right hand" is even stronger than the rest of his body.
yes haha 😄
I seriously couldn't tell if you could damage the armored Gigante by hitting him in the unarmored part of his head. I saw the blood splatters but I couldn't get him to stagger so I didn't know if I was doing anything. Pretty cool that you can.
Also what? Regenerators have limited health? Interesting.
And Del Lago regens... when the regenerators don't... that fish is an asshole
Regenerators had limited health in the original too, and it was way less health than they do now, it was quite easy to kill them via massive damage instead of destroying the plagas.
@@DakonBlackblade2 or knife them like 100 times
Del Lago is actually a salamander, so it makes sense that it can regenerates.
In the original you can easily kill regenerator just by rolling an incendiary grenade to his legs and then spraying him with shotgun shots all over his body. To alleviate this, remake made him very tanky (receives reduced damage from all sources except damage to parasites.)
@@jeanduresau yeah, in remake you can see that it's a giant salamander. In OG i really thought it was a fucking whale.
Haha the Verdugo HP is absolutely ridiculous, and it takes like 0 damage if not frozen.
Speaking of which, your skill is truly incredible
I knew the Verdugo was the highest one, mf eat bullets like senzu beans, the hardest by far, maybe not in combat (fn Krauser) but in health, man.
Technically it’s Saddler, it terms of “highest” his total HP is 65000. 45000, first form and 20,000 second but yeah those other two are crazy.
@@Shaythe oh really? Well for me Saddler it's easy to kill than the Verdugo in all my playthrough
@@j.doe69 Cause Ada gives you a rocket launcher lol
@@paulklp8262 even without it I think would be easier, because of the space you have and the weak points, you can only damage the Verdugo when he's freeze and with all the doge sht he does it's just annoying, specially the taunt, hahahaha mf
Both of them were easy
This is badass.
I really wish this game had a chapter select. I have saves at the start of every chapter, but that brings me back to whatever my weapon upgrades were at when I saved. It's only good for completing challenges I missed in them. When I see a video like this and am itching to jump back into the game I wish I could just pop into any point in the game to kick some skulls in, earn some cash and treasures to keep upgrading weapons, and not have to worry about starting and finishing another full playthrough to maintain my progress.
Like RE5, right? Wonder if they'll keep that aspect in the remake. It was fun, but I missed the Merchant...
your dodging skills are exceptional
I had this video saved in between my playlist of relaxing music to sleep. I literally fell off my bed while screaming "WTF is going on???"😂
Are the hp displays a mod or is that an option that can be enabled?
Vídeo de utilidade pública.
Chipping away slowly at Ramon Salazars Health with Guns
Then Golden Egg does 23,600 DMG... Freaking Awesome
Interesting that all the Armadura get a flat 1500 hp when you break the helmet off. Even the strong threat one went from like 4-5k to 1500 when you blew it off.
niceee video
8:00 I just realized, I think the Bella sister gets enraged one the other dies. That’s cool asf
If you freeze the Verdugo before you shoot it with a rocket, it’ll be a one shot.
AMAZING VIDEO I LOVE!😁😁😁😁😁😁😎😎😎😎😎
So for gun damage, is it just the firepower stat times 10? Also is Krauser still weak to knives, I felt like he was but I wasn't sure.
Bro's got every encounter down to a science!
Doing the pistols&knifes only challenge in a 1st playthrough, I tried to kill el Colmillo threat with weapons 1st attempt. What a terrible mistake XD.
I spent 2-3 minutes knifing the doggo. Surprising this method is the easiest (doggo spends most time moving around you without attacking you)
When Mendez exposes his back eye and shooting it with full auto..... = Joy of Life~~!!
Seeing enemy hp would be a sick special item effect ngl.
I didn't know you could parry iron maiden's spike explosions, I've been just ducking under it
With enemies’ health bar make you feel you’re playing Resident Evil RPG game
Wow…i didn‘t know that regeneradors have not endless HP..i thought they regenerate HP all the time…until you shooting up the plagas inside! Interesting!
Honestly i think they SHOULD regen HP gradually, ive had moments where they died before i got their cores.. but i didnt pump that much into them lol
That's so cool. How can i do that or what program you using?
Esse mano aí não tá puro nunca, o rei do parrying, melhor do mundo.
Ele só bloqueou os ataques
This is neat and all but how does this add up? The game shows me damage as 1 or 1.2...if an enemy has 500 hp, how does that correlate? I can roughly equate the Ghost to this, 2 x 5 on headshots x roughly 5 headshots to drop = 100 damage on headshots, but is that an accurate measurement?
Does Gigante have a weakness (besides the plaga, obviously)? Like is it better to shoot him in the face or the leg or somewhere else?
So can you kill Regenerators if you already know where the weak spots are? Without the assistance of the scope?
you are so skilled bro
seeing their health bars would be a comfort
多了血條顯示,感覺好像在玩RPG遊戲,好酷!!

what App do you use it to see de HP? Can you use it to all kind of games?
How do you get it to change size based on the HP? For me it's the same size regardless of the HP count.
May I ask how to set up the Health Bars to look like in the video? After I installed the basic Health Bars, the numbers will be very small, and will be included in the Health Bars, and the numbers can hardly be seen
you just earned a sub
I didnt know El Gigante had more health than Krauser's Mutated Form
Could you use this to test the killer 7 and how it's crits work. I've heard that because of its exclusive when you crit its actually the highest damage per shot mag.
Can you tell me what is the name of soundtrack in the beginning of the video?
This guy is hella gud! 👏👍🎮🧌🧟♂️🧟♀️
From what i understand, in professional they are more "resistant" meaning that it's the same lifebar but take less damage.
Isn't this true aswell between enemies? some enemies having more resistance than others.
There has to be a multiplier or something that we can translate how much HP they really have.
Because pretty much you can say that they have higher HP in profesional.
If I recall, RE Village difficulty actually lowered your final damage, and to a ridiculous degree at the higher difficulties. As in, the easy difficulty is where you deal 100% damage, while you only deal something like 20% damage in Village of Shadows
Is this a mod you can install to play with their hp showing?
こんな感じでHP表示されるとあとどれ位体力残ってるか分かるからこういうモードみたいなの追加されてほしいな
How much does 1 gun damage translate to on this? Is it just 1 damage=100 health? Like what's the formula for calculating how much damage my guns are doing on here?

Also Krauser still tank x10 damage from Knife?

4:00 just call them gloria las plagas
to how do you translate gun damage to this bloated health system. I know monster hunter is similar with weapon damage but I don't know how a 2 damage pistol can kill a villager in 3 to 5 head shots
