Pilot error, pure and simple.
Sometimes people with a lot of extra cents have very little sense.
Pull up?
As a large rc FLYER and aircraft designer and builder.
For a jet of that size the run way was far to short. And it had problems even before it took off.
But you can't tell some pepole As in 45 years of modeling iv tryed AND EVEN TO THIS DAY IM STILL LEARNING. SO FOR THIS IT'S A BIG 👎
@@maljohn6584 they may as well flown it into a wall.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but isn't that a narrow runway on the left side of the aircraft during take off? If so, why not give the plane a chance to develop enough speed for take off. Yes, I am an RC pilot.
First your grass is not smoothly cut the jet was bouncing along which slowed it acceleration . The runway would have helped the build speed . Your field is to short for heavy turbines
Why is runway so short?
Flaps should be used , specially with a short runway
Seems the engine was misbehaving.
@@markdavis7397 Still. Flaps should be used. And he should have aborted the takeoff as soon as he missed the concrete runaway
I've believe he thought he'd built a submarine.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Before take-off check list...!!!
R.I.P,Jet x.
Model was not accelerating . It was clear from half way down the runway. Although he did not use take off flap I doubt it would have made a difference to the outcome.
Thats why in aerospace there is V1, V2, rotate.
Or in this case, V1, abord!!!
Nice job
Not all fields and runways are suitable for jets.
When I caught tall grass at the end of the runway with my freewing F-4D Phantom in a low high speed pass and completely destroyed it I got a little irritated but if I dumped a high cost model like this I really don't know how I'd react, knowing very well that crashes are a part of the hobby and everyone who flys rc planes crashes some more than others but the time and effort that turbine balsa fiberglass models take to build and dial in has got to leave the pilot somewhat nauseous, I know it would make me nauseous especially since I'm not a CEO or a lottery jackpot winner, condolences to the pilot
'pilot' hahaha
Wer fliegt denn noch, wenn die Kiste schon so am räuchern ist? Der hat aber auch selber schuld!
Serious, So obvious there was not enough speed,
The smoke would be your first clue! Where's your sign?
Se la sono cercata si era capito già prima del decollo che c’era qualcosa che non andava
Flaps not only for fullsize lol
I was asked once what it took to be a top r/c flyer. In reply I said "Unless you can look at the world through rose tinted spectacles it's not a hobby for you."
Must be even more fun to lose the model in that corn field, LOL.
All the gear AND NO IDEA
Control line planes may be more suited for your skill level.
Scale Viperjets don’t convert to model size well, due to the exceptionally high wing loading of the narrow wing. I’ve seen more than their share of snap (wing stall) crashes on the turn to final approach.
You couldn't be more wrong .. vipers are one of the best most stable jets kits available
You must be joking they make great rc models. I suggest you look at other youtube videos of Viperjets!
Didn't the smoke coming out of the cockpit during the preflight check raise a few red flags?
No Flaps / keine Klappen … ;-)
There is a guy on here that has like 70K into one he gets testy if any one gets near it ! One day he will plant it and a lot of people will feel no pity for him .
Turbines need some run up room. They aren't torque. They're speed. Runway was too short and pilot kept the wheels on grass, preventing the plane from getting to take off speed.
Oh boy. I´m really sorry for your beautiful plane :-(
Damn.
You could use this vid as a what not to do,looked expensive trip out, looked like a hot start ruff guess, next thing its taxing down the grass for a last trip.maybe keep a couple buckets of water handy next go.
I wanted to see the fire 🔥
Ho c'était une locomotive cf jet pas zu point du jet avant de faire de tel usine à gaz entraînez vous au depron de hobby king.... Le jet plus tard
Well, that's that. Should have had a G I Joe in the cockpit to fly that thing.
short runway with tall crass at the end, its not if its when
I had both HSD 90mm viper jets in two liveries. Red and silver/red yellow belly Ferrari livery. The red and silver met the earth in holy matrimony. No signal (taranis x9e) I sold the Ferrari got me a freewing t45 90mm. Such a pig but the landing gear was so nice. The mains particularly. I cant afford turbine.
CFT
That's messed up yo!
Up elevator 👍
No fucking way!
😭😭😭😭😭😭
If it was valued at $10K it should've insured, like a classic car. But such insurance is probably not available.
You cannot insure an rc plane! Be realistic!
@@donraptor6156 I know. Someone else already mentioned they're uninsurable. Wish they were, as some of these RC planes have had so much money put into their building. Not always a cheap hobby.
10.000$ down the drain
Very sad
Running onto the asphalt would have been a bit better!!!!!!!
the pilot was getting ahead of himself and physics.... stupidity
All that time it took to build a drag racer with wings, gone in 10 seconds. Where's that kid Nelson from the Simpsons pointing his finger at you and saying ,"HAHA!" That's 10 large well spent, said no one ever
Looked to me like it ingested a fair amount of grass clippings as soon as he started going.. No thanks I'll stick to the $500 jets
And where did you plan on landing? Gots to be hella good at ur approach to manage that short runway.. Was an awesome looking jet though
Too bad! Really
pull up! pull up! 🥴😵💫$$$$$$$$
Should have aborted, maybe even use flaps to help lift it during take-off..... Not sure if he has ever flown of this field so maybe he misjudged the length of the runway, and thought he could get away with taking off without flaps half down.....
TOTALY AGREE.
Always better to be overpowered than underpowered... Still insane to not use full flaps in such a situation. Shame
No idea what flap settings the plane uses but full flaps will produce more drag than lift.
@@stoneagearcher3477 Planes rotate sooner with flaps, simple fact. Pure pilot error not to utilize them in this situation.
Full flaps are never used on takeoff. Takeoff flap is around 15% as has already been said full flap causes drag so only used for landing. Obviously you are not a pilot.
@@sheeeene7 Oh I am, and wouldn't have crashed in that situation. Flaps at any degree would've helped tremendously on grass and low power like that. Rookie mistake.
@@fern6978 You use full flaps to take off on a real airplane?
warum keine Flaps? Mann-O-Mann - echt bitter!
🤣
Too much
"Spitzen und Sparkunzie" !
No flaps on takeoff and under powered .. that was totally preventable
nerd
Underpowered viper jet, sad....
:(
Oh boy
Why would anyone spend $10k on model when can get your private pilot license for around that or less and fly for real...unless they got disqualifying medical then could understand 🤔....heck for $10k they could even go up in a real fighter jet for that. I mean I have spent my fair share on rc myself but gets to point where might as well be flying for real..which is what I am doing now...stil fly rc but is for sure no where near same thing...just saying
Sorry for your loss. It was a goof looking aircraft. Anyway, when showing a dollar amount, in the US the $ sign is always put in front of the price. 10,000 dollars will look like this $10,000, not 10,000$
lol
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
karma ... zuerst schon geraucht und keine Power dann das ..schade
Just burn $10,000 in cash next time.
$ 10,000 wow no offense but why was he driving such a moron the runway from what I think is too short for this plane did not develop enough speed besides the pilot did not even open the flaps to take off
take a wife as hobby, they live longer
10 000 $ ? qu'est ce qu'on en a à foutre ? bien fait pour sa gueule !!! il voulait montrer quoi ? qu'il a du fric ?
bahahahahahahahaha
Not enough power for that airplane and grass field. Why didn't he know?
Because AS A R/C FLYER MY SELF FOR 45 YEARS IT BOILS DOWN TO THE CHEQUE BOOK MODELLER. ALL THE GEAR AND KNOW IDEA.
