these highlights dont show the MONSTER DEFENSE that the wolves played throughout the game . the Wolves Monster Defense held Jokic under 20 and Murray under 10 pts. 😲 you have to watch the full game to see that defense. I feel like a time machine brought us back to the 90s where defense was real.. Now some people may understand how tough the game was in the 90s. 🔥

90s defense wouldn’t work against the spacing of this era. Barely anyone is standing behind the 3pt line in the 90s. What the wolves are playing is nothing like a system of the 90s. You would never see so much rotation and help defense in the 90s. Because you didn’t have to. Everything was scored in the post and mid range. There were no gaps that needed to be closed. I think you can’t just compare eras like that. Both are great, just different styles of basketball. We still have amazing defenses in todays game but the insane offenses of modern basketball make it seem less efficient

What Minnesota have is continuity.
They can sub players and still defend or attack at high level.
Denve have 2 of their core 5 on one leg and they have no bench.
Bruce Brown was a star on his role and the Nuggets undevalued his importance. He had the ability to play 1 to 4 and allow any of the starters to get a breather for some time.
Same can be said of Jeff Green. Could play 3-5.
