    What part of bamma ? my dad was from southeast bamma. And that reminds me of when I did the log deal but here in central Florida we had to deal with sand had to get drugged in and dragged out lol. And a lot of other drivers and even the truck owner thought I was crazy bc while I was waiting I had my polish and rags keeping my rims and tanks it was an old 85 flc freightliner small bunk bc 400 just a 9 spd idr the gears but it would top out at 90 loaded or empty

      @@brandonfrolik7821 man I have so many questions I start in august on the 19th is it hard? What’s the process like I don’t want to learn automatic I want to learn manual. How do they teach the pre trip inspection?

    • @brandonfrolik7821
      @brandonfrolik7821 Před 19 dny +1

      @@dooley251 so it’s going to be a little different of a timeline for the two of us because my job sent me for a 3 week class instead of an 8 week class. The way they did our pre trips were they sat us down in their class room and showed us a video on it, after that we went outside and our teacher laid hands on everything so we could see them. It’s not hard at all, for us atleast they tested us on portions of the truck and trailer that they randomly chose before our tests. Study and get to know that whole truck, may be easy or it could be the hardest part, you won’t know till you do it. The in cab portion of it is super simple, you name your gauges and what they do. This part stressed me out because it was a do or die kinda thing, your air brake tests are an automatic fail if you mess them up, although if your instructor sees you’re on the right track and not skipping steps all over the place then they’ll have leniency on you, everyone gets a little stressed about tests and they understand that. The whole class isn’t hard, if you listen and pay attention you’ll do just fine. I didn’t know how to drive a manual till I got there. Learned on a Tuesday and drove to Montgomery on that Thursday. They’ll take you to the commercial park and you’ll do lap after lap after lap until you get the shifting.

    • @brandonfrolik7821
      @brandonfrolik7821 Před 19 dny

      @@dooley251 Another thing is, I had already tested out by time the 8 week class was doing their backing practice. We sat around and watched them and some of them back those trucks up completely opposite of what the instructor said to do. If you’ve backed any sort or size of trailer up, cool, if you haven’t, people will try and teach you that left is right and right is left. DONT LISTEN TO THAT, it will only confuse you when you’re trying to do it. Turn towards the problem. If your trailer is to far to the left and it needs to go to the right, your problem is on the left, turn towards it and same with the other way around.
