    Virgin lamp oil is best. Cover rubber and let sit 12 hours then cover again. Let sit one week and rubber will curl so put book on it last 3 days. Apply and it will stay tuned for weeks.

    I use 2 layers of thin outdoor paraffin lamp oil to my kokataku 868 and wait for 48 hours before gluing to my dawei crystal st carbon blade.i got quiet a decent curl.
    I can say for period of 3 weeks i notice strampoline effect from the hand feeling just like speed glue. Speed i say 10% But i cannot surely say the spin has increased but it didnt bothered because rubber has tremondous spin even before boosting.

    The ittf banned the frictionless pips. And those rubbers were treated to be smooth and glassy. Results were weird wobbly balls and blocking was lethal. I really enjoyed playing with my frik lp although it took ages to master it. I think it's all part of the fun. The equipment business must be worth a mint, and the ittf seem to have the upper hand and control of what they want. I say who cares if people experiment it's all part of the fun... But I also like the idea of everyone playing the same equipment so everyone is on the same level field. Ie the world ping pong championship played with sandpaper for example. And the hardbat era was the same. No one could argue about having a better bat. One level playing field. Only skill and pure grit would win the day Great.....!!

      How do you cook the pips and treat it so it becomes frictionless? What do you put on it? I heard about it before, there is something you can put on it to make it frictionless.
      As a kid, I also remembered my friends putting some liquid on inverted rubbers and then sealing it with a plastic sheet. After you remove the plastic sheet a week later (similar to the plastic sheet that is on new tacky rubbers), the rubber becomes shiny, and it has increased grip. I can't remember what it was they put on it. Would appreciate it if anyone knows, because it drives me nuts for decades that I forgot what it was.

    • @bahadratay6532
      @bahadratay6532 Před 2 lety +1

      Neo versions are factory tuned. Glue on the sponge locks the booster inside. If you want extra boosting you tear the glue layer and reboost. You can use without boosting but it is very slow, you have to use more physical strength to increase speed. And it can cause loosing position in fast games.

    Hey, I've made an experiment.. I mix a baby oil with pure petroleum jelly and a couple drops of lemon.. I use petroleum jelly since it contain parafin & mineral oil to get more effect and gain a viscosity of a baby oil.. In the end, a texture is just like Seamoon booster.. IDK with a lemon, but a Seamoon Booster National Yellow had a lemonish smell on it, so I tried put a lemon in a mixture.. I surprised with a result when I try to boost my rubber with this mixture, just put 1 layer and my rubber start to curl like I use 1 layer of seamoon booster standard version.. After 3 layer of boosting I use the rubber to play and I feels like my rubber had booster with Haifu Seamoon.. The mixture is Baby Oil/Mineral oil 80ml, Petroleum jelly 10ml, and lemon 10ml..

But with just a baby oil it takes 4-5 layer to curl the rubber.. With this, it takes just 3 layers.. So, I think the effect is better than just with a baby oil.. Well, my rubber still has the effect, it's 4 months since I boosted my rubber.. I don't recommend it, but if you wanna try, do with your own risk.. Maybe next time I'll use mineral oil with high viscosity or even a brake fluid instead mixing a petroleum jelly with low viscosity mineral oils..

    tip : remove plastic cover from topsheet so it can dome freely. Buy an actual tabletennis boostter, works much better. Use a bit more, the rubber still looks the same, a good boosted H3 should have the glossy shine where you can see the pips.

    • @dubsbarry9963
      @dubsbarry9963 Před 2 lety +1

      Hmm...all of my H3 Neos have a dull, cloudy looking topsheet after boosting with Haifu seamoon or Haifu National Yellow. I don't recall if this is immediate or if it's after some time. I would call it a loss of tackiness, while others may call it dead, but it certainly performs very well and is still super spinny. It just won't do the ball pickup test anymore.
      And to be honest, I'm beginning to think that the shiny tackiness is overrated, though it used to be all i cared about. It can be good for service, but we're better off using the sponge for spin, as tackiness is fleeting. I feel like bad habits can be formed when relying too much on tacky rubber, and not letting the ball sink into the sponge. Anyway, love to hear your thoughts.
      Oh yeah, i agree on removing the plastic sheet AFTER applying booster, and replace it prior to applying additional coats, then remove it again while booster is curing. The reason is the booster will ruin the appearance of your topsheet if it gets directly on the rubber surface, which is easy to do. No big deal, mostly cosmetic but annoying.
      And for the others wondering, removing the plastic helps the curing process because air and gas exchange can happen on both sides, not just the sponge side, helping the booster to do its job faster and more consistently.

      No booster will give a peek effect for 2 months remember my friend i try many falco, haifu, baby oil, paraffin. But more often cheap paraffin 3 layers. But extreme elastic effect only last to 6-7 days up to 3 weeks totally dead. Paraffin does make rubber more elastic than baby oil for sure because for more VOC gas that's make sponge elastic. Baby does works better for some rubber but remember not all Chinese rubber sponges boost the same they vary rubber to rubber.
