- A hike up Round Mountain on 06/19/2024. With a fairly low elevation of 5,369ft, Round Mountain doesn't sound like that interesting of a hike or climb. But don't be fooled into ruling this little mountain out. Round Mountain (the one just outside Darrington, WA) has the 8th highest prominence of any peak in Washington. This, and its close positioning to the peaks of the Mountain Loop and North Cascades, gives Round Mountain a great "bang for your buck" when it comes to views. The route is no harder/longer than the popular hike to the Mount Pilchuck lookout and I would argue this is a better hike overall based on the views you get and the lack of huge crowds. Get out there and check it out!
Sitting at my couch in Hawaii, marveling at the scenery the drone really brings it to life!!
will be over in that area in a couple weeks and look forward to trying the round top mountain hike back in my hometown area…thanks for the inspiration!
Nice! We tried this with no snow a few years back and couldn't find a safe way up the basin to the top. Thanks for showing us the top!
Great video as always, cheers!
heading back to WA for some adventure later in September, looks like round mtn is a good hike to get warmed up on , thanks for sharing brother
Awesome video bro! ⛰️🤙🏻
Beautiful video. You are dreamy handsome. Well made. I never had heard of this mountain before.
Did this one three times! Winter route on southwest side. Very steep thrill
❤❤❤ leaving like and sub! Nice work!
Yikes, thanks for showing the road! That would be very rough on the paint 😅
Yes, I told Dan that was completely his call in his Jeep 😅 Luckily it’s just 0.2 miles down 1850 from FS-18, so it’s easy to just walk that part
