Turok 2 - Primagen's Lightship Metal Cover

- I'd been meaning to do this for some time to celebrate the re-release of Turok 2 in HD, and it's also my most common request, so here it finally is!
Although it's based on one of my favourite pieces of music from the game, this cover was particularly challenging to make, as it's more dark and atmospheric, which is not quite as easily translatable to metal as something like the more rhythmic Port of Adia. There are a couple of repetitive sections without much melody, so I had to experiment with adding original riffs over the top to keep it sounding interesting. I'd say overall I had to be way more creative with this cover than the two I've done already. It was an insane amount of work to create the track and video but I enjoyed it, so I might start to make more videos like this in future if this one is well-received! - Hry

I saw some footage of the re-released HD port modded with your river of souls remake and it was like mindbendingly awesome, so much so that i tought it was an official track remastering. You might as well do the entire soundtrack at this point. Someone might have the tech know-how to incorporate it into the game as a mod.
That would be very cool. I don't know about the whole soundtrack but I might make another one at some point because I'm less busy with my band at the moment, and these seem to be quite successful.

Lair of the Blind one and Hive of the Mantis music are a lot longer, they're at least like 7-10 minutes, but it would still be awesome if we could get those as Metal Covers as well Death Marshes. I think the next one should be the Queen/Primagen Boss fight music.

On another note, I've already stated this in some other comment but some of the tracks in this game aren't really that suited to making metal covers, so I doubt I'll ever do the entire thing. Plus I have other musical projects that are more important, sorry. Thanks for the interest though!
@@PowerThrash I bet Death Marshes could be improved with some metal guitars added. I wouldnt mind some sort of addition/remake to make it actually much better than it is now. I always felt at the intense parts that Death Marshes wants to be metal but doesnt have the mood to do it and I always thought someone of you cover artists should help it out here :D
The thing is, you did in my opinion the best job with the turok 2 covers. Especially River of Souls, you got that deeper tone of it so right. it fits so good to it!
