- Ranjani and Gayatri sing a medley of two ragas associated with rains and monsoon - Amritavarshini and Megh Malhar. The spontaneous alap that alternates between both ragas, leading to Dikshitar's Anandamrita karshini and Barse Badariya, a Meera Bhajan is the perfect ode to rain.

"When we talking to our dear friends about our travelogue, they requested us to visit the beautiful mountainside and Redwood groves in Mill Valley, California and offer our music here. This song was a simple and spontaneous prayer from our hearts as the narrow trickle of the waterfall gurgled near us. Sitting and singing in this most serene and scenic spot was one of the highlights of our visit here.

This is amazing as usual! Run of out of words to describe! This explains how a drought stricken place now has had the best rains in decades 😊 but I think we’ve had too much rain, drought is over, please make it stop temporarily for now (what would be the opposite of Amrithavarshini?) and please do come back towards end of summer for this magic again please 😂 jokes aside, it’s so lovely to see you folks do this lovely travelogue in all the places I had imagined!
