Great review, and killer posing, Krow. My sentiments exactly on this kit. We could probably say this is the first “new normal RG” kit that no longer contains MS joints, but also doesn’t bring anything special either. The price also reflects that . A sound choice for a Destiny fan that wants better detail and flexibility than an HG, but can’t burn the money or space on the MG.

I think I might get this and modify the V-fin then give it a glossy black and chrome sliver/chrome gold/chrome rose gold repaint. Just think it might look better.

The only good thing about RG Force Impulse is that there will be an RG Sword Impulse. That, I will spend my money on.

12:33 I was really hoping you'd talk about the wrist armor cracking so easily. I have both this and the P-Bandai RG Sword Impulse and both have cracked wrist armors left and right. I built the RG Force Impulse first and didn't really notice it since I just displayed it on an action base. Then a couple weeks after, I built the RG Sword Impulse and during the build process that's when I noticed the wrist armor cracked which shocked me because I haven't even moved it yet. Then I checked my RG Force Impulse still on the display, same pose and found out its wrist armors also has cracks in it in the same spot. The inner portion. The wrist armors on this kit are very fragile also the v-fin.
I actually didn't notice it until after I filmed this. Guess it's a common thing.
To admit, I agree with Steve on the transformations. It's stupid, but it's how it goes.

I suppose Bandai just needs a few more tweaks and they'll be ready to make RG Double Zeta, Victory, and V2; maybe even AGE-2 and AGE-3, if they decided to give a hell about AGE at all. As for non-transforming ones with big backpacks, I'd say X and especially Double X; maybe even the Full Armor Gundam Thunderbolt ver. (of course, provided they make an all-new frame for it; which will then eventually lead to RG 2.0 RX-78-2)
I dont expect a new AGE kit unless it's from the build line. I'm all for a new RG no matter what it is.

Because it's an ugly transformation. In all my decades in this franchise, not one person has said anything positive about the force impulse transformation.

Drazen Legaspi Justice is 6 inches shorter at 1/1. Their shoulder, waist and knee height is different, but MS height is measured from the top of the head. So while Justice is negligibly taller by that measure, because of its stupid tall sensor, Force Impulse is the Functionality taller suit.

With the release of RG ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam, I think (like the HGCE releases) Bandai intends on releasing RG ZGMF-X56S/β Sword Impulse Gundam and RG ZGMF-X56S/γ Blast Impulse Gundam as Premium Bandai releases.
Personally, I'm passing on the RG and instead waiting for Bandai to make MG 2.0s for ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam, ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam, ZGMF-X56S/β Sword Impulse Gundam, and ZGMF-X56S/γ Blast Impulse Gundam.

wurstbrotmitbutter except england isnt part of the eu anymore so that would still come with import fees. Besides, most sites ive seen in europe overprice their kits to the point of being about as expensive as importing or only slightly less. Got any recomendation for me maybe? I live in the netherlands so italy or germany might be a good option for me haha ive yet to see a hobbystore selling gunpla in europe cheaper than just ordering from archonia.com though..
England still has trade deals. Italy has been fine for gunpla. Otherwise i’m about to get hit with import soon

Ps: might want to check out archonia.com then theyre based in belgium and have lots of gunpla and amazing customer support. If they dont have it they can still get it for you unless its an old out of print kit. And they generally have the fairest prices ive seen for gunpla in europe. But im always interested in better deals haha which is why im curious where the other guy is getting his stuff in germany/italy :p. That said ive found for high grades up to 25 euros its pretty much always the cheapest to get em from hlj.com as theyre almost always on sale, the shipping for one hg kit is barely anything and we at least dont pay import taxes as long as the item is under 25 euros.
Should be able too. I’ve ordered from France, Italy. Ireland. Japan and the US and only the last 2 charged me.
