I was disappoint when Bandai annouce this re-color version of Force Impulse. But then I realize they doing this since Gundam Mk.II, Gundam G-3, or Zaku II-F2.
huh? what do you mean they printed the new version of the HG Zaku in red and green like 4 years ago. and with the perfect strike freedom just earlier this year
Especially considering they were gonna put the Destiny Impulse in the movie. That would’ve meant standard release DI RG or a new HG. Massive disappointment.
For those that say this kit is a let down for being only a slight colour change, this kit is 100% just the gateway excuse for a PBandai Sword Impulse spec II and Blast Impulse Gundams Spec II which both got pretty big colour changes in the movie.
@@priyobudihutomo704 Not true. Today we got the news of RG Blast Impulse Spec 2 that comes with the railgun with RG level detail. They want you to buy it just for the railgun.....
09:02 if I recall correctly the missiles were used in the first episode of GSD. That's the only time I can recall it though. It was the first launch of the Impulse Gundam. Shinn fired them at Chaos Gundam's back shortly after it seemed to have an advantage over Athrun in the Zaku. Then we got one of the most badass entrances of an MS with the Sword Impulse!
Just watched Seed Freedom in theaters. I'll be getting one of these to pose with my Destiny ;) my favorite part of the movie was that Shinn was done justice, not enough to fully make up for being upended as the protagonist of Seed Destiny buuuut good none the less
The fact that the mini pilot is Shinn tells you all you need to know about how little effort Bandai put into this release. That said... the kit *does* look good, so I might still get it. I always felt like the Sword Impulse suited Shinn better anyway, so it doesn't entirely feel like doubling up to me.
Imo this kit is just there to fill the number 39 on the RG line, so the rg rx 78-2 2.0 can be precisely become number 40. I wanted to see the backpack articulation.
I really liked building the original one, but the V-Fins were so brittle both my Sword Impulse, and Force Impulse broke. The only 2 kits that has ever happened to.
Honestly they shouldn’t be able to get away with calling this a Spec II. It’s a barely noticeable color edit with 0 other changes. Maybe they could have at least made the colors moderately different?
One of the main problems with mobile suit redesigns in Seed Freedom is that it was full-blown aiming for nostalgia. The old suits were able to get away with minimal color variants like this because the creators knew full well that the fans were going to like them no matter what. That, and Fukuda directed Cyber Formula OVAs. Like in real-life Formula 1, he and his design team are way familiar with the idea that a car or a mech can have the slightest changes in designs or component fittings yet it's still going to pass as an upgrade or a different model.
Wait, I’m confused, I remember seeing a video or image where it says if the Bandai logo is blue then it’s a fake? I just bought a gundam wing zero and the logo is red. No I’m not complaining, im just confused
No, Bandai changed to using the blue logo a few years ago. It’s not fake. Older kits if they are reprinted will now have a blue logo rather than the original red logo
This version is really only slightly different from the original and not really worth that much to pick up. If they really wanted to do any version of the spec II, they should've done the Sword Impulse as the color scheme is almost entirely different in the movie as compared from the original in the series.
The part that tilts me about this kit is that they didn't bother giving it the right accessory. Bandai made a whole separate release with this yet didn't even bother putting minimum effort to make the design accurate to how it is in the film. I feel fans shouldn't need to buy another kit AND mod or scratch weapons for the correct loadout
Now that you've tried the standard RG Impulse and enjoyed it so much, maybe next time it drops you should take a look at the Destiny Impulse. Definitely not the standard Gundam color scheme on that one.
Simplified? They're still as complex as they were, just without the shitty prebuilt inner frame. Also look at the RG RX-78-2 2.0, that is not simplified at all.
This is peak laziness from Bandai. This kit serves zero purpose. Hell they didn’t even throw in a new weapon? Or bother to include the proper pilot figure? They should have released the Blast or Sword Impulse Spec 2 since they’re atleast fully different color schemes.
Zaku and MK II have a completely different color scheme. The spec 2 is just the same color but slightly muted. Can’t you see the difference? Are you stupid?
I've seen a lot of toxic comment....What's wrong with recolor? I didn't see anyone bitching about RG Zaku and MK-2 recolor? It's not like it's something new? The original Impulse is probably out of stock at this point and people who want it can get this recolor ver instead. I don't see any problem with this release. Even if they throw it in P-bandai, some of you will probably be pissed too....Awww it's another sTuPid recolor P bandai....Yeah, I'm talking about YOU
Mk-II can get away with this, since the AEUG and Titans ver. are a bit different from each other - Titans ver. has extra parts for Test type. Zaku II Char is a commander type, so it has an antenna to make up the difference between the grunt ones.
Wow its literally the rg force impulse lol…now this shouldve been a p-bandai because its barely a colour variant…bandai sure was lazy this year with their regular releases…

Idk what he was thinking trying to pull that piece out further when it was clearly fully extended.
Should have come with the rail gun as seen in the movie
One of the best RG's imo. Such a looker that's able to pull of so many poses. I've got every variant and hope they make the blast impulse soon!
Totally agree! I’ve been liking the Blast more and more lately.
Annnnd we got the RG Blast Impulse spec 2 announcement today!
I love how those missiles on the splendor are used like once and the rest of the times they just detach and return to base

I'm honestly surprised it doesn't have the railgun it has in Gundam Seed Freedom. Really surprised it wasn't a P-bandai kit.
Because the railgun is already on gelgoog menace. And real reason Bandai is too lazy to make the Railgun in RG detail level

as some who has the HGCE Impulse sitting on his desk, the feet are actually symmetrical, not asymmetrical like the MG version.
I'd go with the review, Minor color differences, some decal differences, and a link to the review of RG Force Impulse 4 years ago.

LOOK AT THE MANUAL!!! THEY FINALLY TRANSLATED THE WHOLE MANUAL IN ENGLISH RATHER THAN JUST THE FIRST FEW PAGES!!!!
IVE BEEN ANNOYED BY THIS SINCE LIKE 2017
Literally every other grade and kit has manuals that are fully translated since like 2015 I'm shocked at how long it took!

Was thinking of getting some of those stickers for use on them seed freedom kits
Probably gonna get only because I don’t have the original one
One day id noticed on mine, both the cuffs had snapped on both wrists. They must be super thin plastic on that area. I just glued and sanded em.
Bandai kits are pretty flimsy these days. The foot guard on my RG God Gundam snapped inside the box before I even took it out.
Imo this kit is just there to fill the number 39 on the RG line, so the rg rx 78-2 2.0 can be precisely become number 40.

I know they’re gonna drop a P-Bandai of the other spec.II forms, and I’ll have to buy them all
Bandai: we heard you guys have been wanting P-Bandai stuff to be retail. here you go :)))
Gotta save up for this beauty! ❤❤❤

Perfect kit to make p-bandai, but bandai seems to have regular and p-Bandai releases completely backwards these days
Lol kind of seems that way yes. Maybe someone at Bandai got konked on the head
The new color scheme is 🔥, great unboxing and review! 👏
I'm really excited for RG Akatsuki from today news. so shiny and pretty.
They really should have given it the rail gun
Fax. And the fact the new Destiny spec 2 Zeus Silhouette seemingly doesn't include the railgun too is so disappointing.
Should have at least include another 1-2 striker pack to differentiate it with old force impulse. But oh well
RG sword impulse has the best color hate the spec 2 of the sword impulse where the red coloring became black.
Nice!
