The commentary is Platinum.
You could hear the commentary over the loud ass intro music?
10:15 Those old ladies thought you wanted a show Dan. That's why they looked disgusted LOL
You're right on those Bimini tops, they are just a fixed parachute. I have towed three boats but never been towed... until the next time I go out. Thank you. God Bless and stay safe.
"Pull that top down!"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So fun to watch people load boats in thr wind. It is like the first time they every put it on the trailer.
So many shenanigans hard to keep eyes on everyone! Great entertainment 🤙
0:35 classy lady relieving herself
That aint no bilge pump.
Love your videos man!!!!
HAH, the "Sea Tow" Captain has a great dumper!
6:50 that's not a pontoon! should be called a cartoon. in less than 4 minutes it had more hits than The Beatles!
"...home of some of the dumbest boater on the planet." 🤣🤣
My little buddy was cheesing @ 16:15 ha! I have the yellow Jupiter. Nice meeting you, man.
Niceeee! Great meeting you!
Big Dan knows squat about boats
so, biker guy knows squat about bikes?
welcome back from summer break and our first week of 6th grade (?).
Dan, I'm noticing that no one is tying? down their boats ? Don't they know they need to. Captain Keith
Not a lot of that happening, that’s for sure
Hi Dan, Live from Long Island, NY, it's Captain Keith
Welcome Back
Big Dan You would have been proud of me this pass Monday at the boat ramp. we just got our first real boat. and when I say real I mean one with a outboard on it. not my old Jon boat. First time I put it in the water was Monday. I did just like I have heard you say a million times Your in to deep. well I put my trailer in the until the finders just was covered. I loaded that old gal up like a pro I hit the trailer first time EZ stuff man. I was loaded and out of the way. So keep on Preaching the gospel brother it sure helped me out.
Most boats like the top of fenders just out of the water about an inch.
That gives you enoughcontactwith the bunks you don't float all.around, you can correct the alignment of the rear, and you can still push yourself all the way up with the throttle.
Have fun.
Ski Nautique is a tournament ski tow boat. Nice boat.
I never thought there was so much to know when docking a boat before I looked on CZcams. It must be the current in the ocean. The ramps in the lake I've been on never seem to have these issues.
This place doesn’t have much current at all. It’s 20% wind and 70% operator not sure about the other 10 lol
@@TheBigDanShow I guess it's hard to fathom when you're around boats and water your whole life. We used to live on Champlain. You pretty much treat it the same as the ocean for the most part, but now it's smaller lakes. I could swim to shore from anywhere on the biggest lake we have here. 😢
The thing about your channel, I have comments almost the whole time I watch. #cant comment enough!
I appreciate that lol
This is hilarious these people know so little about docking boats.
They need Help
It’s amazing how much they don’t know!!
Personally I don't have the patience for it, but I think you need to start a "Dock and Trailering school" Lol
Maybe you should say “pull your Bimini top down “. 😁
Ive yet to see anyone rig a handling line the way I do. One rope attached to the bow and the stern on the windward side, with enough slack for the operator to control the boat from the dock
Right off the bat, caught a lady peeing.. 0:36
Although I love youe video s
are you kidding me a lady if you want to call her that peeing off the side of the boat that is real lady like lol
yeah, my wife mentioned the woman was peeing and I did not believe her...then I went back and watched it and sure enough at 0:37 it appears someone sprung a leak
@@TheBigDanShow lmfao damn
I thought it was the bilge pump 🤣🤣
Hey Dan, how come y’all don’t see side bunks on your trailers down there? Out here on the west coast they are common. They also help out in windy conditions.
I’m not sure. Some of the smaller skiffs have them. My boat has to much mass and if I came in a little crooked it would rip them off. I also have a 27’ CC
One thing I noticed with all these nice high dollar boats is ppl still can’t buy common fucking sense. It’s really not that hard
That’s a Fact
Two paddles would work far better than 1, don’t y’all think?
I think so lol
the only variable that I have ever encountered is ramp angle and water depth (different lake locations).
why is it so difficult to determine trailer depth, speed when loading, wind condition, and outdrive angle (prop depth); and then just keep repeating that!
it aint science rocket!
👍🤙
1:36 is in so deep you cant even see the trailer if you are the capt....
I watched a guy destroy a duel axle trailer Labor Day weekend, you know why? IN TOO DEEP!! Ran it off the ramp.
They are not called bumpers. They're name is fenders
I appreciate the lesson. Bumpers when people put them out so they can bump into shit
Uh Oh, ADEM violation at 0:37 .
The gal at 38-40 seconds knows you busted her peeing, lol
Tried to just smirk it off 😜
lol@@TheBigDanShow
Hey Biggie D, I too wonder just WTF these people are doing in the water? And among them is a group that's LQQKin' for an accident(accidont) by getting in the
water within the structure of the trailer. This practice is just inviting death as the boat comes up on the trailer.....lol, one mistake breaks bones or traps a dumb
arse between the boat & the trailer....drowning is a real possibility but they all seem to get by? Have you ever researched boating accidents while loading up on
the trailer? I'll bet there are a few...... ain't gonna EVER be me doing that stupid cHIT, I do other dumb stuff but that ain't one. peace & be safe out there
BIG Dan, one day you'll catch someone getting pinned between the boat / trailer, leaving them in a bad predicament? When it does
happen, you will hold the "KEY's" to their lawsuit as they blame the State for the algae growing on the concrete that made them slip?
Then they sue the Concrete Company b/c they made that concrete, yeah, good reason huh? Yep, you sue any/all & let the jury decide
who's at fault & how much to pay? You'll have the video proof = Charge for Services Rendered ! peace my brother
Why did the video just stop?
@@TheBigDanShow oh thank goodness love this!
Sup Big Dan??
Waters so dirty where is this
It is so much easier to just get your trailer next to the dock and walk the boat on or off. These people should not be allowed to have a boat.
Seriously all these idiots have no idea of how to retrieve the boat. They all have the trailers in the water way too far.
intro why to loud dude
IT JUST AMAZES ME HOW MANY BOAT OWNERS LACK COMMON SENSE ON PICKING UP THEIR BOATS! IF I THOUGHT I HAD TO WADE CHEST DEEP IN THE WATER EVERY TIME I PICK MY BOAT UP I PROBABLY WOULDNT OWN ONE...HAHAHAH!
do not submarine the bunks on your trailer regardless of what brand a lot of headaches can be avoided leave the bunks out 2-3 inches. So you don’t drift around. it’s not the equipment it’s the operator. Align the bow up with the middle of the winch do your strap. For God sakes leave ‘em attached until your safely in the water. Don’t rev the crap out the engine finesse just put in gear don’t be yanking the steering right n left keep the boat straight. After your safely on the trailer get in the middle to balance the boat trim up Get parked trim down remove drain plugs let the water drain from the outdrive then add your tie downs etc. While it still wet wipe down use black streak remover. Take care of your vessel costs too much to let her go to pot. Check brake lights turn signals look over hey i got a flat starting. Go re fill your boat to prevent water vapor. Use stabil different marine products for fuel. Go home recharge batteries good to go next trip.
We’ll send my friend
Well said *
Hey buddy, I’m the guy at the 10:00 mark in the video.. if you go watch other boat ramp videos, the ones that are popular don’t have irrelevant commentary.
Rather than commentating what you think is right and wrong, you should have moved your dumbass off the dock and cleared up some room for others trying to avoid the storm that was moving in. Instead, you and your significant other (who was pretending to get a sun tan under the clouds, at a boat ramp), used up a generous portion of the dock that would have expedited everyone’s attempt at going home, wether they knew what they were doing or not.
To answer your question, I know how to work a cleat and fender, I have a captains license and prior USCG service. I was instead trying to figure out how to not scratch up my new boat that I’ve worked hard to purchase. You may or may not understand actual work and reward. You also missed how I worked the crosswind and had it on the trailer faster than you were even able to realize happened. I’ll grab a good video of you next time! Cheers.
First off it wasn’t that crowded, Second of all, I took up 30 ft of docking space in a cove that has over 400ft of docking capability.
There would have to be more than 15 boats my size to fill the cove up, and there wasn’t. I hung out for 3 hours and didn’t see more than a dozen in there at once. Also, I’m not worried about having 1 popular video when I have several with over a million views.
I was in the Coast Guard as well, were you a YN by chance? I’m busting your balls with that remark, I had to. Also she wasn’t “pretending” to get a sun tan. She was just chilling, we’re fortunate to be able to “work for a living” on the water or wherever we end up. Trust me, I know about hard work. Your talking to someone that is just now slowing down after YEARS AND YEARS of madness, time to relax, work a little, enjoy the fruits of my labor, and poke at people on the water.
