I need a set of P193 .20 oversized but they are not in stock anywhere in the country apparently . Can you guide me in the right direction for them if possible ?

    That was the piston slap engine. Did you machine the cilinders? Because the head of the piston had the 0.5mm. meaning the cilinders were machined but you didn't took the engine out. How you manage to put super size pistons? Thanks

    hey, im getting a cold start rattle on this engine, already replaced the chain, tensioner, phasers, and the exhaust ocv valve, the intake on it on the way but i am douting it will fix the terrible cold start rattle, also has a small tick even when warmed up, Is this what yours was doing?

    I have a 2015 sonata 2.4 l engine shakes sometimes , then I turn it off and turn it back on engine light goes off car drives normal .Then it happens again. I changed the spark plugs coils I sawpped coils and injectors . Same issue . Pops up cylinder 3 misfire. I need you help please.

    Hyundai Elantra 2013 1.8 Gls I need to change the piston number 3 but I spoke for the diler and they told me that I have to take it out to see what letter the Disen carries that there is letter A, B and C if you see what letter carries the piston number 3 I will thank you muncho

    Very helpful considering how many NU engines are out there -500 000 ???
    My 1.8 does not have any of the US NU problems as the engine came from a different plant . I have remapped mine myself and there is a nice amount of performance in these NU motors.....no GDI direct injection carbon crap build up with these MPI motors.

    my Tucson had a cylinder 3 go out I was 5 minutes from home had been out of town serviced the car before leaving and 20 minutes almost back the top came off and antifreeze was coming from under the hood I stopped wiped it down put the top back on light went out and got 5 minutes from home light came back on and I drove slow but then I got in the shoulder felt power going I stopped and it died I had It towed down the street to my house and haven't touched it . would changing all the coil injectors and the spark plugs which would be 4 out what else do I need to check i'm hoping with just turning to 90000 it's not locked up I have not tried to crank it until I put those parts in it and check all the liquids again just got the oil changed on it for 7 years had no problem with this car this snuck up on me if you can give me any ideas I can do some things and I will have a buddy coming by great video. if you were standing next to me telling what to do I could do everything you said you do great instructions! Thanks in Texas any ideas would help

    What can you do to prevent this piston wear, seems to me this engine should have a longer life than this! (I have a 2013 with 25k, switched to synthetic oil now, perhaps next time,buy a Toyota.

      There is a defect with this engine and Hyundai has a special warranty to replace the engine. This is documented everywhere. Go to your dealer and ask for it!!

    Hello I have the same knocking and ticking noise with my Hyundai Elantra 2016. I bought it in August of 2018 ... currently I have 54,000 miles, with Hyundai warranty almost reaching 60,000 miles would I be able to get a new engine. Bed cause I can’t fix it myself. I’m a women and don’t know anything about cars, I just don’t want the dealership to Rip me off.

      @@julielaflare5444 Perfect...much appreciated. Be prepared some dealers like to push the customer into proving there is a special warranty for this. Can you get copies of your oil change receipts for the dealer later if they request it from you? Otherwise keep me posted and I can guide you to escalating this to corporate to ensure success just in case! Ultimately it appears your engine should be replaced. Don't let them manipulate you into anything else. Tell them your mechanic (me) checked it out and confirmed it.

    i hear some sounds like tak tak when trying to start the engine which does not start and when i put a big load on the battery, i hear sth like trying to move inside like voo voo but the engine does not start...
    shit happened when i was driving with my car on the highway, engine stopped, started giving smokes out of it, and maybe the water fridge was empty... now i try to start the engine, and sth like the pistons in the engine are trying to move doing some sound like vooo vooo... but the engine cannot start...

      alternator and battery load tested to see if it is one of those components. it sounds like maybe the alternator is busted. this can be done for free at places like autozone, oreillys, pepboys, advance auto parts

    Step 1- Step 1 disconnect your battery and do not wear metal band watches or rings - if you touch a hot lead with one of those you will get a free tattoo.

    While removing fuel injectors thing the fuse must have been removed ahead of time and also the battery 🔋 was suppose to be wire should’ve been disconnected while you guys took the fuel injectors off

My car had some body damage for this reason I bought it thinking that at least the motor would be good and then I have it about a year and the dealership stated that they would pay for half of the new motor, and that I would be responsible for the remainder portion.
