That was the best explanation of Patrick Mahomes and the whole situation of drafting Mahomes .
What Mahomes has eluded to sprinkled throughout different interviews.. if you haven’t noticed by now Patrick is very driven and has had his life mapped out . He wanted to be in Kansas City . He had confidence in himself, and his ability but knew he needed the right coach and organization to help him further his dream . He knew Andy Reid and the chiefs and the offense that Andy had was the perfect place for him. So he did everything with in his poster to make it happen. Even giving Veach a call during the draft to tell him , that he heard if a team did not grab him on the 10th pick that this other team .. (The saints ) was gonna take him. This lit a fire under Chiefs to make the deal with Buffalo to get that 10th pick. So Patrick knew he needed Reid , and Reid found out how much he was gonna LOVE Patrick . And that is how the dynasty started .
Patrick is a very driven determined person, and he Wills these things into existence for himself. That is someone that will alway makes things happen .
Patrick Mahomes did not even attend the draft because a lot of people didn't even know that he would be a first-round pick because most of you don't remember that the only season that he started at Texas tech, they only went 5-7

Before him Air raid Qbs didn’t translate well everybody seen the talent but knew he would be a project. Why draft a QB first round if he couldn’t play right away? KC was the perfect spot he wouldn’t be what he is now, He’d still be a superstar probably but not this
