Denny Doherty was the VOICE behind the Mamas & The Papas, and BOY,!!!!! what a brilliant vocalist, truly and deeply missed R.I.P. Denny.

Denny Doherty always has been and will forever be my favourite member of the Mamas and the Papas, I loved him on Theodore Tugboat too, he will forever be missed.
I would have loved it if he sang this song as a tribute to Cass Elliot or performed it at her funeral, because Denny really did love Cass not romantically but as a best friend
I think it was meant as a tribute to Cass, and yes, Denny really did love Cass.

I had the good fortune to meet the great Denny Doherty in Toronto after his stage show. He spoke with me and my friend for 30 minutes. A real gentleman, and the best male singer of his generation. Pure tenor perfection. Of course Cass was the greatest female singer of that generation too. I guess Frankie Valli is up there too. Remember when singers could actually sing.

I didn't recognize this artist at first, but now I see he was the singer in the Mamas and the Papas... great singer.

I didn't know Denny had passed away, Karen. Very nice tribute. Michelle is the only living member of the Mamas and the Papas left, I guess. What a wonderful group. I especially loved Cass. She was hotter than Michelle, in my opinion, and had the voice of an angel. Have a good week, Karen.

the song 'you'll never know' is in itself an very old song, my mother use to sing around the house when we were kids
its sad to think I've only discovered the album 12 yrs after his death. I was just flickering around you tube finding old songs to download when I even came across info about Denny

Soy una persona relativamente joven que viendo por casualidad en youtube conocí a este grupo mamá & papa y me di cuenta que escuché mucho en mi infancia esta hermosa música sin saber quienes eran ellos ,sé que fallecieron todos excepto Michelle y de verdad me da mucha nostalgia ,ahora que en este video escucho a Denny Doherty me doy cuenta que su voz era hermosa.Bueno ,nací en una generación desfasada me hubiese gustada haber nacido antes para haberlos disfrutado en vida ,todos eran muy talentosos, pero no puedo evitar sentir tristeza que ya se fueron casi todos ,descansen en Paz papa Denny,papa John y mamá Cast y que mamá Michelle disfrute junto a sus seres amados 🙏🏼🥰❤️🥹
