Just wanted you guys to know that I’ve been listening to this song for the last 10 years...and on the right day, it still makes me all teary eyed.
It used to REALLY get me choked up, but I’m a bit tougher now.
    Still a lovely & hauntingly beautiful song.🖤

I just found this. I was unaware that the Handsome Family, whose music I have always loved, had produced a song about one of my greatest heroes. What a beautiful, moving tribute to the forgotten genius who was Nikola Tesla.

A beautiful, but sad song about a beautiful, but sad life.. Nikola Tesla was the greatest inventor who ever lived, most likely, and certainly the greatest of the past century or so. Also "Handsome Family" reminds me of iron&wine, both wonderfully pleasant and talented.

Always inspired by this great soul and inventor.

They must find it difficult. Those who have taken authority as truth, rather than truth as authority. God bless you Mr Tesla,

Tesla was the most active antenna in our universe. He talked about the photons of light, enlightening him and guiding him.Tesla gave us A/C power, transmittable,Radio control, harnessing lightning, flourescant lighting. Thanks for the Gramaphone Edison but Tesla improved your light bulb and wouldve figured it out anyway.Truly a descended spirit, and like others before him,we use them, discard them, and then diminish their place in history.Tesla,a true American genius

+tunacolada2020 A true Serbian genius who decided to create and work in America due to low possibilities in Serbia in that time (it isnt much better nowadays too). Greetings from southern Serbia, city of Vranje.

+Misa Stamenkovic Yes,yes.A superior mind, ruined by life on planet earth. You know there was a lot more he couldve given us if he hadnt been isolated by economic vultures.I wonder what a better world we would have now if we had just let him run with his ideas and not tried to exclude him once we got a hold of his early and most powerful inventions. When the backroom boys with their shiny suits and big cigars make their deals, true artists always get screwed.Sorry about the lack of opportunity in your country, your people have been through a lot,now and historically. You deserve better my friend.Greetings from Ft McCoy FL,planet earth.

Nikola Tesla (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола Тесла; 10 July 1856 - 7 January 1943) was a Serbian American[2][3] inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system.[4]
Tesla gained experience in telephony and electrical engineering before emigrating to the United States in 1884 to work for Thomas Edison. He soon struck out on his own with financial backers, setting up laboratories and companies to develop a range of electrical devices. His patented AC induction motor and transformer were licensed by George Westinghouse, who also hired Tesla as a consultant to help develop a power system using alternating current. Tesla is also known for his high-voltage, high-frequency power experiments in New York and Colorado Springs which included patented devices and theoretical work used in the invention of radio communication,[5] for his X-ray experiments, and for his ill-fated attempt at intercontinental wireless transmission in his unfinished Wardenclyffe Tower project.[6]

There is no debate over Tesla's origin, he was ethnic Serb, born on territory of Austro-Hungary. That part of AH is today Croatia. He was also American citizen, and it could be easily said that he was American scientist. Specially, when you have in mind that USA enabled him to achieve something that he couldn't if he stayed on Balkan, which is sadly still case with gifted people in these countries. But that all is least important when it comes to Tesla's life and work. In front of everything, he was great scientist and wonderful mind.
