why was it called turf moor ?
As I said in the video, the area was a moor where peat turf was cut, giving its old name
amazing isnt it. how small and agricultural these towns once were. before the industrial revolution. this would be around the time people believed in witchcraft.@@guyver155
everyone would be extremely superstitious. @@guyver155
