nah nah,a finger roll and a jelly is different,the jelly is a more of a finesse type of ordeal, but a finger roll is something that and basketball player can do,i know a lot of athletic players with jumping ability that cant do a jelly

The reverse layup was done by Dr. J before Jordan and by other players before Dr. J! It's not "Jelly" that's what you kids named it during this era, it's the Finger Roll and there are various versions of it! The fadeaway, the pull jumper all done before Michael's time! Jason Williams known as "White Chocolate" tried to take credit for the "Elbow Pass" some people tried to give Rondo and Iverson credit for it because they had not seen the originator do it before their time! That pass was originated in the 70's by Pistol Pete Maravich, along with the No-Look Pass and the the half court bounce pass! Pistol Pete Maravich and the Harlem Globetrotters is solely responsible for those passes! Magic and Bird often used those passes in their games! Mike was a Killer and he didn't like loose but the Finger Roll as you call it Jelly is as old as your Great Grand Parents!
