My first tuck when i was in my twenties was one of these 32 years later i am still a HGV driver...todays trucks are such a doddle to drive compared to this model...but dont have a fraction of the charm.
@@davidbanks7187 in my opinion both brilliant boxes used at a time when trucks had some thing special my new truck it drives it self I just sit there miss changing gears these trucks so cool
So glad I was around to drive the ERF / Cummins era , you knew you were driving a truck
Good to hear what a proper wagon sounds like! I drove a B series 8 wheel tipper with this box and Cummins 230 turbo in late 1980s. Great memories.
My Dad had the same from 79 on, spent many happy days in the passenger seat, the sound brings back lots of happy memories.
Beautiful sound. Driving as a true profession

In a previous Turner video of a B series being put back on the road the engine is a Cummins, whether this is that truck i don't know.
U made driving that look easy lol
Modern Telematics saying - ‘WTF is going on here’...
what engine is that?
Sounds like a Cummins but maybe a Gardner. Great sound though
I'd go for Gardner, too quiet for Cummins.
Harleykenn id say 250/90 cummins lovely
240 Gardner my old man drove for burmah oil , he had a b series ERF for years , never forget that noise,
@@karlprice9465 It's a non-turbo Cummins 250.
What gearbox is that may be 9speed fuller don't think it's A10 speed spicier not sure if they were in b series I thought it's a 290 Cummins big cam
Eaton roadranger 9 speed but hi range crawler gave you 10 , only surpassed by the Eaton twin splitter

Fuller RTO-9509A Roadranger gearbox, behind a 14-litre Cummins NHC-250.
