The spotlight that the whole thing has shone on the national league surely has to bring changes to the promotions but I hope for NC they go up in the playoffs

Not a fan of your football… never really sat down and watched a match… until… I found myself looking for scores/results, taking about a goalie named Foster, about a guy who apparently can find a way to score even if you had a dump truck in front of the net, Mullen… never have I cared or wanted a football team to succeed like Wrexham… so happy for Wales, so happy for the people of Wrexham, and so happy for the lads playing the game… I blame you Ryan and Rob… and Notts County does deserve to move up…
This match was so much fun to watch; seeing Mullin just out play the defense for two goals was brilliant
Let's all hope Notts go up this season . They deserve it.
If I were the director for the docuseries, I'd absolutely feature Notts very heavily as the menacing presence (figuratively speaking, no disrespect) throughout, and I'd want Notts promoted as like a post-credits sequence, just to imply that the "villain" (again, just as storytelling) of the story is still alive.

Well how many people in the United States and Canada care or even know about League 1/ Championship teams? But we know about Wrexham and with any luck, I'm gonna follow them up to Tier 2 and maybe one day even the prem.
Obviously the attention today is not what it was back then. It's not Rocket Science.
Ryan and Rob have spent money but spent it sensibly, push out the boat but make sure you dont lose sight of the shore
This is how you build a football club. They have embraced the community and built a whole new fan base.
People will always complain when cash comes into the lower leagues but it doesn't always work unless you manage the club and the finances properly.

I was just talking to a friend about this, maybe if the team that just miss out on automatic promotion are say 6 points ahead of the next team, then there should be no playoff’s , it seems unfair when Notts county are miles ahead of 3rd place. Good luck Notts county in the playoffs ⚽️

As a Houston Texans fan in the NFL, I know what it's like to be a fan of a bottom feeding team. I always root for the underdogs.

@@Forestgravy90 no disputing that. Both teams have been neglected and made terrible ownership decisions and mistakes. The fans, locals, and players of both teams deserve better. The NFL has no pro/rel, so of course we are protected.

I get the Notts County lad 100%, but on the other side the playoffs bring a lot of extra eyes/money to the clubs and the league. I doubt they'll change it significantly in the coming years. You could go hybrid, like they do in germany i.e. They do it like 2 best teams from lower league go up safely and the 3rd best competes with the 3rd last of the upper league for promotion with home and away game. Would be "more fair" and you still have the final battle after regular season. But yeah "less dramatic", less additional games -> less money..
In the States they’re calling them “Wrexy Wrex”. Heard both Tim Howard and Alexi Lalas both address them as that, today.

Wrexham fan, I feel for Notts County. There should be 3 promoted, or if a team is finishing 30 odd points ahead then no playoff and just a second automatic. Wrexham one season finished 2nd on 98 points and went out to Luton in the playoffs on 75 I believe.
This is almost as big as the time Glasgow rangers stopped celtic winning 10 in a row and went to the final of the UEFA cup! Almost!

Should be automatic promotion if you reach a certain amount of points. 90/95 maybe. Anything over 90 means you’ve basically dominated the competition.
They should add if you are #2 with 100+ pts you get promotion.

Without money clubs don't go places. You can harp on about traditional bullshit but the days of clubs being successful at any level without serious cash injection is dead
£1.5m of that was buying the ground back from the university who bought it from our former shady owners. They're doing everything the right way.

Because it's a good news story. The 3rd oldest football team in the world, which dropped out of footbal league 15 years ago, basically got put in millions pounds of debt so someone could build a business estate over the staduim. Got rescued by the fans raising money to buy the club back, but then almost dropped out if professional football. when all was loss, these Americans gave them a second chance.

Thank god someone see’s it the way I do they are acting like the first team to amass a decent points tally Wrexham did it when fleetwood and Jamie vardy were in non league and because of that we missed out on promotion and the season caught up to us during the play offs to get into a professional league you have to be bang at it every game

This is what does my head in all I’ve heard is notts county deserve it too they don’t they lost their biggest game of the season to us and it’s happened to us before the season fleetwood escaped non league and I distinctly remember everyone laughing at us for getting 96/98 points in the season

League 2 should have 3 relegation spots. Will make the league more exciting in upcoming years for the fans too.
