Welcome to the best hostel in Lille : Hostel Gastama

Hands down for me the best hotel hostel in Lille is the Gastama Hostel. A curious mix of both hotel and hostel, this is a clean, comfortable hostel in a great location in the old town. Plus they have a fab bar, great food and staff. stayed there 6 years ago, was my worst experience during my two month stay in France. A man came from outside the hostel and followed me to my room. since he tailgated me into the secluded zone. I was terrified and defended myself. He then revealed himself as the manager. He then evicted me from the hostel for being violent. I was defending myself from an unknown intruder. He did not inform who he was. Has anyone had a similar experience. This esperience has haunted me for years. I had many lovely experiences but that manager is a creep. It was a shame because some of the other staff were friendly.
