I just applied to University of Hawaii Hilo and I’m so excited! I was wondering how long it takes to hear back if you’ve been accepted? Also, how far is the campus from the beach? The reason I ask is because I’m planning on majoring in marine science and love being near the ocean.

Hi sis! Hilo isn’t like other cities where everything is walk-friendly. However, the main shopping areas are a short drive away (about 5-7 min away from campus or 1.5 miles)
The school does offer target shuttles and Safeway/Walmart are in the same area.
