Today, I explored Woodlands Temp Interchange.
History of Woodlands Bus Interchange:
- Opening and Closure: The original Woodlands Bus Interchange was opened in 1996 and was closed in 2016 for upgrading works. A temporary interchange was used from 2016 to 2021.
- Background: The temporary interchange was built to make way for the Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub (ITH), which opened on June 13, 2021.
- Location: The new interchange is located at 1 Woodlands Square, linked to Woodlands MRT station and adjacent to Causeway Point shopping mall.
- Bus Services: The interchange has 23 bus services operated by SMRT Buses, Tower Transit, and SBS Transit.
- Infrastructure: The new interchange has modern facilities like air-conditioning, electronic departure boards, and a nursing room.
- Replacement: The temporary interchange was replaced by the Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub (ITH), which offers improved amenities and services for commuters.
