Sorry for missing in action for the past weeks. But let's decide if we should keep going with this series or not :)

    Welcome back!
The new 5.5 update just dropped, so I'd say stick with the map a little longer and get 5.5 onto the thumbnails and draw in a few more views while there is still good momentum. That being said, update 5.5 also includes a new map with a large lake and unlimited resources, so it is also a good time to restart if that is your desire.
One thing I have learned while you were away is that farm Workers will automatically go to threshing crops at harvest time, leaving the actual harvesting to the Laborers, so harvests NEED both to get done. You can pass over the farm workers faces to locate them, and once wheat or sunflower (crops that need threshing) start to be brought in they will only thresh, not harvest. So the best tactic is to use Seasonal Hiring to lay off lots of people around town during March, August and September to bring in the best harvests. I usually do something like 5 Foresters on-season, 2 off-season (farm months), same with Builders, Brickworks, other industries. You can also thin out warehouse workers, shoe makers, etc. during those months. This gives you a full army of towns people as Laborers to sow and harvest, and greatly increases the yields. They will also fill up the charcoal piles while they are available. Another benefit to this is that when they rehire afterward they will automatically grab a new job closest to home, so the workforce shifts into a more efficient pattern all by itself - you don't have to move them into a better house manually.
Also, the farms will only hire workers/laborers that live close enough, so farms out on the outskirts rarely get enough labor to fully plant and harvest. Better yields will come by concentrating on the closest farm with full labor rather than spreading it all out. Maybe turn some of the more distant farm fields into hops and fire up beer production?
Plowing fields adds nutrients, but also delays planting (while they are plowing) so that the growing season is shorter. So if there is enough nutrients then best not to plow to give the most growth time - my opinion.
    Good show!

That's high praise of Old World from you; I might have to check it out. I've put in over 100 hours into Ostriv now, since seeing it played here first; I think I've got a pretty good handle on it now, and am enjoying it greatly, despite its unfinished state. I had 4000 hours in CS 1, but less than 7 in CS2: I'll wait quite bit longer for that train wreck to get sorted, given there are these other games to investigate!

Do have a look at Old World because it is quite nice and as mentioned in the video I feel it is better than Civ series. At the beginning it looks overwhelming, but if you do the tutorials, things will get super easy.
CS2...it's indeed far from what everyone was hoping for, but then again most of us compare CS2 with CS1 modded version and I think that it is not right :D but what can we do? :)))
And Ostriv just got a nice update last evening after my video and looks like they still work pretty hard and nice to get this game out faster and once it is done, there will be workshop for it too which means.... MODs and Assets YEEEEY!!

You risk to kill this Chanel with so long Breaks. I recommend uploading a video once a week. The content is great. I would like to see more of this. Above all, you're the only one I have a subscription to who I know plays this.

A humble advice, employ admin at farms to switch cultures, example one year wheat, next fallow to avoid the land to get depleted. Also you can have cows and sheep farms to pasture on fallow fields by marking the option on the cows/sheep farm menu. Also need many cart parkings spread in the village to be used to transport stuff, wich is much more efficient than with bare hands, bare hands 20 units, cart 100 units. They will use the carts even to get food or firewood at their homes too. Also at each production building make sure you have worker by hands/cart and laborers by hand/ cart checked (they are not default checked) I got 3 000 people and 35 000 money ,wich would be impossible without proper transportation, also true i have 10 horse carts parkings so 40 horse carts, wich is helping a lot in moving big quantities of products.
