hi, have you ever considered creating a whole kingdom using this as a starting point and expanding as time goes on, possibly creating a miniseries or a series over time, creating houses for peasants to live it, markets, Black Smiths, Forest, farm land, the elements can go on and on really, sticking to your theme of fantasy or medieval? and because they will be on different platforms you can easily transport them if need be to store them or put them on display, its really your choice, and find a way of seamlessly connecting the platforms all together, this idea could go on and on depending on the Kingdom you want to create or forge, I hope that you see his post and possibly consider the idea, thank you for the content, keep doing what your doing, zander out peace and love. ✌❤

Decorative Corner Lamp/Art Piece : Make a 4 to 6 ft tree that would sit in a corner either totally fake or use real branches. With roots that could be the base that holds it up or use a large flower pot. Then make a cool looking whimsical tree house similar to those castles that sits in it's branches. Put some color changing led lights inside that are controlled by a remote in the tree house windows, maybe along the roof soffit and some led sconce lighting on tree house front door/porch and maybe some lights on the steps. Hide the cord inside that runs down to a wall plugin for a decorative corner mood lighting piece.

As someone who actually enjoys building things mini brick by mini brick, I can’t believe that you guys didn’t texture your bricks before you started building! Get yourself a tub with a lid and a handful of large gravel rocks. Put the bricks and the rocks in the tub. Then attach the lid securely and shake (drop-kick, and play soccer with) the tub until the bricks have the desired amount of texture that you want. I do things on a much smaller scale for dnd terrain, so I use a large coffee container as my tub and about 4-5 rocks. I use a foil ball to add extra texture to a few areas to give it a little more distress right before painting. Hope this tip helps if you ever decide to venture into the brick-by-brick building again.
This turned out absolutely amazing! I am inspired to try making something on a bigger scale. Wish me luck!

A segment from this video was cut out in editing, but we explained how putting 35k bricks in a tub with rocks would demand days and days of work to make them texturized. @Nerdforge I love it! The only thing I would add which could be done very easily after this final stage is some banners. Castles often had large hanging banners down the outer and inner wall for decoration. Imagine a heroic liege lord or lady showing off their exploits in custom made banners like massive tapestries hanging over the wall to intimidate anyone seeking to lay siege on their castle. It would be fucking dope, and you could make a few sets of banners to completely transform the castle for different uses and looks.
    Seriously, keep it up!

Okay I’m about halfway through the video, and I have 3 thoughts so far.
1.) Ever consider doing what Real Terrain Hobbies did for his huge castle and doing some bricks but then using plaster to cover the cracks?
2.) the walls with just the grey base looks amazing, and it would be a really cool contrast if you made the walls grey and the inner castle a white stone. As if the walls were from the land there and the castle was imported stone.
3.) I love that you used the same time lapse music that TangoTek uses

I can definitely see how you can keep building on castles increasing their sizes as tech gets more advanced and helpful to do so. This one would make a killer miniature for a fantasy movie set.

this is a stunning piece of art, crazy to think that all the painting techniques used work so well, even considering how they are the very basics .....
never seen wash applied in a spray before, thats a new one.
The longer and harder methods usually draws out the best results ....think you still shouldve gone with the staggered edges but the vertical brick slabs still look good
Just watched a bit more of the vid and i can see home more intermediate techniques used....

Great job Martina. Looks good as always. I kind of agree with some of these other comments. The white looks good but the original gray looked better to me personally. Either way though I definitely agree that the next step should be to build a medieval village/city around the castle. It would be as different pieces but they could all fit around the castle like a real city would. And the old castle could be a Wizards tower or something added to the city as a whole. Just a thought. As long as you like your project results though that's really all that matters.
