    THE VALUE OF THIS VIDEO:
THE MAIN VALUE IS EDUCATION. This reconstruction will be useful for actual or future air traffic controllers and pilots, people who plan to connect life with aviation, who like aviation. With help of this video reconstruction you’ll learn how to use radiotelephony rules, Aviation English language and general English language (for people whose native language is not English) in situation in flight, which was shown. THE MAIN REASON I DO THIS IS TO HELP PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND EVERY EMERGENCY SITUATION, EVERY WORD AND EVERY MOVE OF AIRCRAFT.
SOURCES OF MATERIAL, LICENSES AND PERMISSIONS:
Source of communications - www.liveatc.net/ (I have a permission (Letter) for commercial use of radio communications from LiveATC.net).
Map, aerial pictures (License (ODbL) ©OpenStreetMap -www.openstreetmap.org/copyrig...) Permission for commercial use, royalty-free use.
Radar screen (In new versions of videos) - Made by author.
Text version of communication - Made by Author.
Video editing - Made by author.
    HOW I DO VIDEOS:
    1) I monitor media, airspace, looking for any non-standard, emergency and interesting situation.
    2) I find communications of ATC unit for the period of time I need.
    3) I take only phrases between air traffic controller and selected flight.
    4) I find a flight path of selected aircraft.
    5) I make an animation (early couple of videos don’t have animation) of flight path and aircraft, where the aircraft goes on his route.
    6) When I edit video I put phrases of communications to specific points in video (in tandem with animation).
    7) Together with my comments (voice and text) I edit and make a reconstruction of emergency, non-standard and interesting situation in flight.

This video does NOT show a return to Narita. It is Haneda by 100%

@4:24 i think the atc said confirm the flight wants to go to Narita. Probably cause the flight departed from HND and the pilots requested to "return" to Narita which may have caused the confusion

No, after ATC advised pilot Narita Metar, which had quite poor visibility, pilot decided to return to HND. That’s why ATC just made sure. There was no confusion.

Did anyone get what the [unclear] part of the ATC was after the aircraft callsign? He said it multiple times and I never made it out.

1:00 now radar contact "91* miles south east of Haneda", alt 9600.
1:35 request "current situation" and your intentions.
2:48 Dragon 391 "roger" [not clear] left ...
4:20 stop end 600m and "confirmation: do you request, [for divertion] to Narita?"
4:30 Ok [not clear] "Narita", [not clear] back to Haneda?
As a Japanese, While I can hear 1:35 and 4:20 easily, other fragments are very indistinct.

2:47 Dragon 391, roger [Left hand turn] left to turn heading 180…
4:31 Okay, [instead to Narita], [and in that case] back to Haneda? Confirm?
Wasn’t expecting myself to get this as a foreigner, only slightly inconvinced on the part “instead to narita” but I’m very convinced with the rest of them. 2:47 was an easy one for me but I had to listen to 4:31 for a few time to catch it

I've heard much better English from many other Japanese people. This guy sounds like he just came out of college...
It sounds harsh but there are literally hundreds of lives at stake here. The Cathay Pilot is from Hong Kong and his English is perfect.
I have many friends from Mainland China too, whose English is almost perfect.
This isn't about nationality, this is about individuality. This ATC controller's English isn't good enough.
On top of that, the radio quality in the Tokyo tower is hideous. So much interference...
