This is the heaviest diy welder I have ever seen on CZcams so far . Amazing
You just know when Make It Extreme uploads a video its gonna be something EPIC, and this is EPIC work again guys, I hope you both never stop and continue to make art and mechanical marvels from Cyprus!!
epical
If you're form Cyprus do you know Greek ξέρεις ελληνικά εστο και λίγα;
yep ,, i am a fan of them for a long time, i like to make, but life doesn't allow🙂
Zhat might be the most Professional made diy spotwelder that scares me brutally
Very good, but I would like to see the electric schematics.
It truly is an awesome design. However if you want to see another homemade spot welder, check out Dan Gelbarts version, which is also seriously cool: czcams.com/video/82Iil0fFN9Y/video.html
yes, drilling and tapping several holes right into the iron core is so professional that not even the shadiest chinese-made spot welder would dare to do that...
@@AKAtheA Atleast one other person with electrical knowledge around here
@@olivervoss3196 Enlighten me. The holes make the transformer less effective and less efficient because the path for the magnetic flux is disturbed. But as long as the result still works it should be ok, right? Am I overlooking a hazard that's created by the holes?
Very nice❤
I love that you take apart so many microwaves that you have a dedicated punch to get the copper leads out of the transformers.
Those finishing touches of the side grates, rounded corners, sleek handles. That's what really puts this above other DIY spot welders. Looks awesome!
One of the most useful builds... great work !
Works worlds better than the Horrible Freight spot welders!
Nice job. For your information, you shouldn't have sanded the outside of the transformer. The laminations are insulated from each other to prevent eddied currents in the core and unnecessary heating. By sanding them off they are all most likely shorted together. This is the reason you never see a cast single piece transformer core. It would be cheaper to make then this way, but they wouldn't work very well. Drilling and tapping the cores is also not a good idea. Think about it this way: the current flowing the the transformer core is current that could have been flowing through your wires.
but the microwave transformers are usually welded together, probably because it's cheaper even though it's less eficient
That's only on the surface where they are sanded, so internally there will be little eddy current. Should be ok. It will be noticeable in excessive heat in the core if there's too much eddy current. Nicely pointed out there, it shows you have good observational skills.
Just love that every episode just gets better and better. This is not just some garage hacks. This is fabrication for real! 👍😀
Wow! Very nice build, looks good too and even has a simple but effective variable timer.
This left me speechless pure dedication wow.
It looks great!!! I really like the amp control knob.
Amazing work as always, that is a beast of a machine! Think I preferred the background music from your earlier videos, helped me discover some artists I still listen to.

This thing is 10x better then store-bought one. Epic video and epic build. Subscribed instantly.
That’s awesome project guys waiting for new one
This guy is a very serious fabricator….Top of the food chain
Grant Thompson, the King of Random (may he rest in peace), made one without the need to weld anything. Yours is amazing but I am mentioning it because this reminds me of his build from back in the day.
DIY engineering at its best. I'm never going to make any of these things, I just appreciate the craft, ideas and processing.
Wow!!!!! Nice invention!!!! Show!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
You always making fadu project
Just one word "Awesome"
I love your jobs .. from indonesia
Really cool bit of kit well recycled from some old microwaves. Really like how you have designed the lever system.
Me: Watches this video.
Also me: Wonders if I can build this before wife notices microwave missing.
Then the moment arrives when you run out of those washers and the last ones that you have in the shop are welded toghether lol.
Great video
Me: "can I get a green paint?"
Store clerk:"which green?"
Me:"make it extreme green!"
One improvement I can see for this, is to have a foot release to free both hands, and not have someone else to open the jaws.
Started making one a while ago, but the vids then, had you grind the transformer apart to remove the coil in one go. This way is so much better, as I don't have to work out how to reassemble the transformer casings.
Nice job.
I am big fan for india.❤️❤️❤️
Super top, sy sangat suka melihat cara rakit nya, sangat profesional
Nice
You know, every diy spot welder video has a section where they spot weld washers together. This is the first time I've seen the washer flower, props to you . this is a sweet video.
Thank you for this wonderful work
Is beatifull congratulation
Amazing ideas and skills man. Satisfying to watch :)
Cool. Add spring to auto open. Great weelding skills
Beautiful work. We featured this video in our homemade tools forum this week :)
perfect.the spotwelder so it's supposed to be. excellent work that deserves congratulations.
That was awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful, the king of innovation
What a beautiful job!
Nice work I like it
Nice invetion bro
you have an awsome ability to bring thoughts to fruition, the factory ones that I ran had a foot pedal so that you had both hands free to locate the work and then actuate it by foot. But you probably already considered that.
Mine is made with the same principle. I added a foot pedal ( dirt cheap from China) and a relay.
It's in plastic housing, though as I don't like the idea of 220 VAC and a secondary with 150-200 A in a metal housing.
Works flawless... :)
Should have a sticker on it to warn heart pacemaker people to operate this beast!
:-D
What a beast, great build!
:-D
The magnetron (the component that produces the microwave radiation) was not included in the build, so no issues for pacemakers. Otherwise, people with pacemakers would have to stay away from everything that has transformers, especially those humming big green boxes outside.
@@doubledarefan You missed the ":-D" in my comment! :-D
@@horstszibulski19 How dare I miss that. What a shame!
By god, that's a lot of hefty shop tools for a DIY spot welder!

project plans should be free for all.
Always an impressive video. Keep 'm coming
Acompanho esses vídeos,show de bola
the best diy
super clever!
Wow, looks pretty good to me.
Excelente trabalho 😁👏👏👏
How many people in Cyprus no longer have a microwave because of the microwave bandit? Very nice work my friend..
The day you're in the shop thinking about your next build, I'd love to be able to read your mind for just 1 hour.
Btw, a foot control would be a nice addition to this piece. *Well done.*
Awesome! For welding nails you need different , specially shaped electrode tips.
Damn...that is a useful idea.
The way you combined the transformers secondaries with the same cable is a good thanks for the tip
From Vietnam
Muito bom parabéns
Excellent content! Thank you.
Rich.
Fantastic as all the things you do...👏👏👏
Thanks 👍👍👍
What a machine best homemade spot welder I’ve seen on CZcams by far 🙌🏻 Just wish you guys would upload more often but hey worth the wait Could say this video was spot on 🙌🏻
2 bad it costs as much as commercial unit with all that copper.
@@zumbazumba1 wait until you get all the parts as scrap ... and wait ... and wait ... and wait ... and wait ... and wait ... and wait
oh, wtf, who am I kidding? Time is money, too! :D
What a nice build. Best in show!
Only 499 more metal flower sculptures and we are open for business! Excellent video, thanks for sharing.
Wonderful
Summary : To make a welding machine, you need a welding machine
Awesome spot welder guys, thank you!
(I hope this is correct)
Outstanding

excellent work !
I think this is way better than store bought
Damn this is so awesome!
I salute your works...... you are so perfect genius!!
Very Nice Presentation with Excellent quality of work and extremely good quality of work. Best Video with Fantastic idea ✍️👌👌👍👍💐💐
Thanks for the idea. Did almost one on one. Works but heats up quickly.
It was amazing man!!
I new it was coming! Was waiting patiently😏👌👏👏👏 I'm know all of us subscribers are thinking, what is 0119 gonna be🤔. Me. I request a time machine. I wanna go back to the 90's and buy a container load of regular fit jeans.
I want to go back to the noughties and buy a couple HDDs full of bitcoins that no one wanted.
the second transformer was crazy. subbed 👍🏻 just make sure the windings are wound in phase on the different transformers
Great build.
Thanks for sharing.
whoah... beautiful work all together... wish I had the access to these machines :)
