Their version of boys of Summer is the only one I would ever recognize don't get me wrong Don Henley and all the others who covered that song did great but this version by The ataris is always going to be synonymous with my high school years

So long Astoria is one of the greatest albums ever made. 'Unopened letter to the world' will forever be on my playlist.

I grew up with the Ataris and they have always been one of my favorite bands. I have seen them many time from my first times at Van's Warp Tour when they were with Kung Fu Records to the So Long Astoria 20th Anniversary at House of Blues and many shows in between. I can say that the shows hit different now compared to 20 years ago. My wife and I got there about a half hour before Pollen went up first so we could get close up stage. And we didn't move the entire show because we didn't want to leave our spot. We were standing for about 6 hours straight at that show and in the end our feet and back hurt like hell. But it was all worth it. The music hits different now in a good way. I really enjoyed how clean the Ataris sound was and I like the direction they take live. It is a different sound than the recording thus giving us a nostalgic feeling but in a new way. You guys rocked it and hope to see future shows.

Infelizmente conheci essa banda muito tarde após jogar Tony Hawk 1+2, eu amo All souls Day, queria ter conhecido antes, aqui no Brasil essa banda não é popular, mas eu adorei.
